Tamayura ~Sotsugyou Shashin~ ( Graduation Photo)
Tamayura will be getting a four-part movie next Spring 2015. Official site: http://tamayura.info/news/1922/ ANN news: http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/news...e-story/.77242 I'm guessing this was the announcement (http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/news...ncement/.75572) that it was planning back around June. I'm happy to see this getting a movie adaptation though as long as it can capture the feeling of the previous seasons like I remembered.

Tamayura + movie budget = DIAMONDS
Hoping we get to see a flash forward with adult Potte and the gang (maybe she'll even pass the dad's camera to her child). Now all we need is a Chihayafuru movie announcement

Wonder how long the movies are? I'm wondering if maybe they wanted to do a series but couldn't get a TV timeslot so are doing four movies instead? Maybe each one equivalent to two or three episodes if it had been a TV series.
Kind of like what happened with the 'third season' of Maria-sama ga miteru, which was five double-length OVAs instead of a TV series (and there's a show that never got the ending it deserved). All in all I'm just really glad this is being made. |

The first season covered their first year and the second season covered their second year, so I expected they would make another sequel covering their third year. Though I don't know why it's in the form of four movies instead of another TV season.

To be honest I am not quite sure why it was decided to go this route either - but I must confess that I am very grateful for it. There are plenty of series that do not get the opportunity of "wrapping things up".

Just to clarify... this thread got the Spring 2015 label, but that's just for the first of the four movies. We're not sure yet what the schedule for the rest of the movies will be. Presumably it'll be on something of a good cycle, but time will tell.
