Holy hell, I fucking love the ED song. It's 5 minutes but it feels so short to me. The instruments are perfectly in sync, and darn, the mix is simply beautiful. The guitars, the violins, the flutes, and is that a harmonica or whatever it was called? Everything comes together so nicely and Minami's voice sounds as passionate and powerful yet soothing and beautiful as always. And the pacing, oh boy, I love how it starts slow then BAM gotta go fast!

They only added some seconds of new animation, but it helps to explain things a bit. For example, now it's clear they were doing some experiment on Kate in the first scene, and it was that experiment going out of control what caused all the people of the country to disappear. It looks like Rena was fighting because she wanted to stop the experiment.

Here is a list of changes I noticed:
*They added Johan (green haired guy) in the lab saying "We'll soon be able to see it. The power of Lux." before Ingrid comes in asking what's the matter *They actually show Tia and Sara inside their Regalia this time. Sara says "I wonder what's up with Rena?" *The episode title "Sisters" originally appeared right after the time shifts to the present time. Now it appears a bit later, right before Yui initiates her conversation with Rena *During Rena's encounter with Kei, Kei originally said this upon clinging to Ingrid: Rena, you too have become close to someone, haven't you? You should learn about what happened at Rimgarde 12 years ago. Rena replied with: What are you talking about, Kei? to which Kei answered "I'll be waiting." Now Kei says this without Rena ever responding: What happened at Rimgarde 12 years ago. You don't want it to happen to this country this time, right? I see that you too have become close to someone. I'll be waiting. *When Rena tells black guy to move somewhere else because there are still people here, he says that he doesn't care and that "I don't mind killing every citizen here". Originally he just said "I want to do it now!" *Rena's eyes now glow more radiant before she starts her incantation for Crimson Raid *Special effects overall feel refined especially around Magna Alecto *Sound effects and bgm feel slightly dampened and are easier to listen to Edit: Regalia Producer Explains Anime's Broadcast Halt Hmm... so... in the end I guess it was a brave and right decision to halt the broadcast to fix issues. It will still leave negative impressions like "it was so bad that they had to delay it haha" but if you think about it, those people would have the same opinion if it had went on like that anyway. They didn't change the world either, but it was definitely a step into the right direction I'd say so kudos to the producer. Also kudos to hand drawn mecha fights.

Episode 5 finally aired today...
I didn't watch the previous 4 episodes again so not sure. But still, I think the show is back on track with the girls showing their potential fighting abilities with their mech although I'm not really sold on the character drama. Yui and Rena make a good team though. A cute one!

Well episode 5 was alright. Certainly feels like forever since I last watched this show .
If nothing else the action was solid and finally Yui and Rena decided to work together. They really did have to get the contract type business out of the way before they could truly tap into the power they needed. Kind of impressive that they got this far without that.

Very good Episode 5. Every scene seemed to serve a purpose, and the action scene was very strong and fun to watch. The protagonists continue to be mostly likeable.
I have only two criticisms: 1. Pacing is slightly slow and lethargic. That's fine for now, but I hope it'll pick up in future episodes. 2. I find it slightly disturbing how relaxed Yui and Rena are with killing people. They're starting to rack up a pretty impressive kill resume. It's a little unnerving how Yui acts like a noble goody-two-shoes but kills with the ease and certainty of a total badass. There doesn't seem to be the slightest effort to try to capture the enemy alive, or find a way to defeat him without killing him. The first two Yui kills were very thuggish and/or villainous enemies, so I can kinda understand Yui not dwelling much on this. But Abel seemed at least somewhat sympathetic. Yui can be classically heroic without having a strict no-kill code, but I'd prefer it if all this killing weighed on her conscience a little bit at least.
