Last episode was pretty nice, Kujo all out there by himself. The change of setting is always refreshing.
Also wondering how Victorique got that nice little house for herself... Anyways, I originally wasn't going to watch this anime, because I'm not really into mystery driven stories. But I gave it a Go and it turned out to be pretty Sick.

Spoiler for regarding the diamond drop:
I liked the kid. Whatever his name was... Louis makes sense to me although Luigi is cool (funny) too :heh. And the revelation of his real (clean) hair + eye color combined with how the show emphasizes the fact that he is intelligent makes me think he is one of the gray wolves as well? He looked eerily similar to that Brian Roscoe guy too o.0 No comment on Brian Roscoe. I am pretty sure it's Cordellia with a flu just like her daughter inside that Turk thing though. And when the police chief was telling Grevil how it was ironic that the only son of the Marquis of Blois to have recovered the diamond... I felt as though he was implying the Marquis of Blois (apparently) did something bad that the Royal family didn't like? No comments on the nightmare scene... it felt forced/rushed/misplaced is all. Hopefully they can elaborate on it and give enough information for it to make sense next time. |

Barely. That, too, can chip the diamond, though at least it won't shatter it.
They could have tried to float it in water. I'm not sure how reliable that is (not that dropping it is reliable either...) but at least it won't hurt the diamond. |

"Next week a special titled “The GOSICK Special That Comes in the Spring – The Beautiful Monster Sees Beyond the Chaos” airs. From the summary it appears to be a 24min long Victorique & Kujō blog." Haven't heard much more than this though....

I wonder if it's a special like the one in Bleach: Sealed Swords Frenzy or a radio drama.
We still need those release dates and times. And if there is a possibility of it being subbed.

This week's special episode 10.5 is basically a recap episode. It starts with Kujo went looking for Victorique to ask her to decipher a mysterious letter he got. The note says:
Try to predict your now future. - from Production Staff. Victorique suggests that to predict future, one must first remembers the past ...... However, unlike a normal recap episode, only the first half of the episode is recap, the second half of 10.5 reveal tons of future plans for the series including an interview with the author and discussion forum with the VAs. Second Half Summary: - VA forum with Kujo's VA Takuya Eguchi as host joined by Aoi Yuki (Victorique), Noriko Shitaya (Avril), and Yui Kano (Cecile). Its pretty much a short forum about the series and VAs themselves that you usually find in the DVD/BD extras - Next is a interview with the author Kazuki Sakuraba conducted by Aoi Yuki. They talked about her view on the main characters, their relations, etc. The author also mentions that there will be one more storm that will bring the series its happy conclusion and that she expects both the anime and novel to have the similar ending. - During the interview the battom of screen reveals messages that 3 more volumes will release to complete Gosick. (last released on April of 2007 and saw no more release after Sakuraba won Naoki Prize in 2008 and stated that she will stop all her ACG related works). Gosick VII will release on 3/25, GosickS IV(Short stories) on 5/25, and Gosick VIII is slotted this summer which will conclude the series. - Next up is promo, the 1st volume of DVD/BD will release on 4/22 with 2 episodes (12 disc totaling 24 episodes) with 3 versions, BD (9,240 yen), DVD limited (8,190 yen) and DVD regular (6,090 yen). Both BD version and limited editions will include a special extra disc featuring the VA talk show from 12/27 during the series premiere. - And for those who purchase both BD and DVD, there is also a special extra feature box which will include a special original short story by Sakuraba , and original illustration and arts from Hinata Takeda (series illustrator). - The last part is a short message by Yoshiki*Lisa, the singer for the opening theme, promoting the single. (BTW, she is really cute) It is already translated by Chinese sub groups for those who can read Chinese..... Some screenshots: Spoiler for Screenshots from 10.5:

Of course, the part of the TV special I liked best was Yuuki Aoi, in her outlandish gothic lolita outfits (that little hat, those huge boots). Here is an animated gif from 2channel of her as she says "komatta-nyan" ("how troublesome, meow") in a fake-cute way:
Spoiler for animated gif:

Second that, the nyan-part so freakin' moe, I can actually understand why Japanese and other Asian otakus are so obsess about...
Also, I was surprised that Grevil turns out to be a bishonen with his hair down and actually endorse/urge Kuji to go after Victorique in the short future episode preview.
