Defiantly ParadiseKiss...One of my fav animes...Finally a realistic guy character who totally controls the girl he's in love with..George is one of the few realistic dudes in anime...Not all scared or standoffish and $hit like most anime guys..He totally messes with this girl's mind and makes her fall intoxicated with his approval...Realistic sexual situations, and relationship situations...You'll like it...

It's "School-Life" "Slice of life" "Coming of age" so no magical super-powered catgirls in this one^^...

Someone already suggested Shakugan no Shana, which features a very strong female lead and a much weaker male lead. A similar series might be Zero's Familiar, with girl who has powers the guy doesn't. Both females are very much the domanent personality in the releationship.

That's all I can think of off hand where the female is clearly the dominant member of the relationship. There are lots of other series where the female is much more powerful (just about any "magical girlfriend" anime) but they don't dominate the male lead which is I think what you are looking for?

No, it doesn't have any romance worth speaking of. That said, it is an excellent horror/mystery.

Not to mention both main characters have the same seiyuu. Both great series. Boggles me how busy these people must get though, given both series have sequels coming soon, too. How do they find the time to do so much. ;.; Rie is doing Hayate, too, that's slated for 52 eps. Gintama is also ongoing... She's Kagura in that... So that's at least four series she'll be recording at the same time. ;.;

Anyway, Inuyasha may fall in to this category. Kagome is very dominant. Though Inuyasha isn't exactly weak. Same story with Full Metal Panic. Kaname is all aggressively dominant, but Sousuke isn't a wuss.

For something like Hellsing, try the currently airing Claymore. It's bloody and violent and has a similar overall tone, I think.
