My hatred of the Argentinian football team is lit once again. Twice in a row in world cups they have to knock out Mexico. Now I hope twice Germany can knock them out.
The good news is that Argentina has some pretty bad defense. The bad news is that Argentina can seemingly score at will at times.

This needs to be said, Verón went in to regain possession and Mexico devoured the midfield, Pastore went in on the last five minutes and suddenly we have the ball. But of course, Verón has "experience" and "temperament".

If it's any consolation then mexico supporters can enjoy the youtube videos of Heinze going from joy to rage as he headbutts the camera.
I was hoping for mexico to make a comeback to make up for the disastrous goals earlier but it was not to be. It's unfortunate that both victories will now be under-appreciated due to refereeing errors. Looking forward to see how Brazil plays tomorrow!

Germany seem like sharks to me. They're timid when they're losing, but as soon as they smell blood they pounce. So if Argentina wants to win they'll have to score Germany one or two quick goals very early on and then frustrate them till the end.

I'm favouring Germany against Argentina if they can held off the initial Argentina's attack early on and kept on with a counter attacking play. Though it's going to be no easy feat with Messi and Tevez. While Messi didnt score, he does draws away a lot of defenders giving Tevez room to play.

Anyway, it's no different from other sport organizations that change/maintain questionable policies for entertainment over the sport itself. Tho after today, the pressure is on FIFA to start adopting some form of technology to ensure the fairness of such goals
