There is no 13th episode, 12 is it, the end, finished over
There has infact been 13 epsidoes already, since it started with episode 0, which as far as i know wasnt fansubed. There are no plans for OVA's or a new season, DearS is gone, but not forgotten I've loved the show from the start, and was really glad the biter got slapped around by Ren, and that Ren and Takeya ended up together. I've heard its a Chobbits cloan so many times now, but my answer is, ive not seen chobbits so i'll keep enjoying it for now :P Anyone know the ending song for epsidoe 12? |

Even at the end she doesnt understand love, in her eyes all that mattered was that Takeya said he was her master, that was enough for her. |

thats the episode 12 name. i really liked the series, and am sad to see that this was the last episode. They could've gone another 12 or 13 exploring the relationship between ren and takeya and then maybe have the dears finally learn about the concept of love. |

I took it from the ending video of the PS2 DearS game. My hdd with the files died just yesterday and I hadn't had the time or diskspace to attempt rescuing it, so I don't know for sure either. I believe it's sung by PoppinS, at least I remember seeing their names in the credits for the game. Don't know really, sorry.

I had mixed feelings during this entire series, but I managed to finish it, and I'm glad that I did, last episode was good. Althought I never liked the character desings and there ware only a few characters that I really liked, Neneko and Miu comes to mind first. That teacher was annoying and disturbing at the same time, and I really feel sorry for Inoue Kikuko...
But I enjoyed this series, Takeya proves that the anime law "less you want, more you get", is still live and well. Especially last episode, it basically saved this series, I liked it a lot. All in all, not a bad series and it had its moments, but it takes a while before I will watch it again. |

Great anime with a nice happy ending. But it seems to me like there's room for a season 2.
In the end, I think this was the summer anime that surprised me the most. I was expecting all the other ones to be more promising, but this and Elfen Lied really shocked me.

Good work everyone.
This series started off very enjoyable and ended that way too, a completely satisfying experience. Ep 12 was just too much for me in warm fuzzy feelingness, with everyone rushing to aid Ren, and Takeya sort of opening up to Ren. I especially like how this last episode remained funny and kawaii, and not turning all serious. Now time to buy the manga . |

According to the official site, there were 13 episodes planned. The last episode was actually named "13th Contact". If you look closer at the list of episode, you will find 10th contact missing. My guess is episode 10 will be on the 6th DVD with episode 11, and not as an OVA like OT or OT2. Not sure what's in episode 10 though.

Surprisingly, I found DearS to be the most enjoyable show this summer, a little ahead of Girls Bravo. This is however because I watch it alone. It would be quite embarassing to watch together with someone from a different generation, because of the pointless nudity during the songs in particular. (The teacher doesn't exactly help either.) But contrary to what I first feared, this is not a pornographic series at all. It is a humor series but also raises some deep questions that it never answers, about the nature of love.
I don't see a second season as plausible unless it tells a different story, about other DearS. The saga of Ren and Takeya has come to a satisfying conclusion. It could easily have been longer, but it wasn't, and it's still OK. |

Anyways, just so I'm here, the ending was not what I wanted. Granted, I know the ending I hoped had no chance of happening. So the ending was not a plus for me. I'll just say "whatever" to the ending, and the series in general. And so, after seeing this anime, Neneko joins the list of anime girls that I actually have feelings for. Sigh Neneko...I'll see you in my dreams. |

No more DearS... I wish the series was just a little bit longer. Seems like most DearS have problems with disregarding their slave indoctrination and adapting to life on earth. Not that this is odd, since they are born and bred to be slaves and used to being regarded as expendable 'merchandise'. Seems like Miu has gotten the farthest in understanding this change though, too bad they didn't go further with that. I'm not quite sure what to make of Ren's progress with this, she did have doubts and disobeyed the rules but then again she is supposedly defective. Her motivation is more or less unknown, it's still seems as if she was simply clinging to her master after all. It's a shame they they didn't go a little further into this before calling it curtains. Still, I'll remember DearS fondly, it was a funny show and I enjoyed it alot while it lasted. Go go melon breads, you will be missed...

Bwahaha. I remember that scene now.
Neneko huh? I never really liked her. The fact that her blank expression rarely changed kind of bothered me, heh. I was hoping for an ending with more Miu... oh well.
