Have to agree with Kazuki and Ayane, you really tend to give anime-only viewers less credit than they deserve. Not saying it in an insulting manner, but this new opening is exactly like the first opening, when people were seeing it for the first time, they had no idea who any of the Ushiromiyas were. Personally, I find this opening a lot more exciting, because it's showing interesting looking characters and very interesting looking scenarios.

And I have to say, the new OP sure did a good job in getting my pants wet for the EP 3 arc... Virgilia vs. Beatrice especially.

Somehow hearing Biri-Biri's voice on Ange makes alot of sense to me, both are sarcastic and badass.
The animation on Eva-Beatrice is very cool atleast in the opening.

Yeah, I can see they may do that battle justice. Lots of good fight scenes coming up.

The opening will likely change once more for EP4 arc.

Maybe we still should after all most pics show in what kind relation they have to other characters. To figure out who that red hair is they first must know that she actually exists (some know it now through tips but people soley using anime information don't know of Battler's sister). I don't think they can guess from the red hair alone that Ange is well you know Ange, ecspecially since she is supposed to be 6 years old

I watched the new OP before reading comments that Ange was in it, so when I saw her I about shat bricks. SO EXCITED!!!! She looked so good! I'm a little sad that I'm not familiar with any of her seiyuu's previous roles, but I'll have to investigate to see what she sounds like. Angeangeange!!!

The OP is much better now. Though... I don't see why they had to cut Genji, Kumasawa, Gohda, and Nanjo from it completely when they still had a plethora of ways to put them into it. Also, the use of all of those still images still bothers me a bit. I mean, it goes from still images and the same animation to EVA-BEATRICE!! BEATO VS VIRGILIA!! ANGE!!... back to the same animation we already knew. It's as if it rises and falls in animation/sequence quality throughout the entirety of the OP... which I find a little odd.

If they put the new characters and scenes in different spots and varied the animation a bit, it might not feel as weird to me. But we only get like a still image of the Siestas and Stakes, and Ronove with some special effects. Then they just group all of the adults at the same time to get them out of the way. So it feels like all of the most epic moments of the OP are in one spot, while the rest consists of the same exact things with minor differences and new things.
Though, the scene with Lambda and Bern is nice, not too much to complain about there.

Overall I like the new OP! (Yeah I know... I had to say a lot about it, but that doesn't mean that I hated it or anything)
I'll rate it a 7.5/10

The new OP is great but I was really hoping for a new song to go with it.

+Can't wait for the Virgilia vs. Beato battle, looks awesome
+The scene where Ange jumps off the building is now epic with red moon background

-No Gaap? I guess it would be not safe

Is it just me, or does it look like Eva bea's design has changed a bit? Are there design sketches up? I haven't seen any. It looks like they changed the colour of the frills on her dress. This is going by the 2 seconds we managed to see her, anyway.
