Thing is with CDJapan, it only stock a little, not so very much like other stores, usually half or 3/4 of usual Japanese stores that allows international shippings, or even less. That's why pre-ordering it fast is really reccomended

Too bad for me who only have the way out by buying from amazon since I live in Asia *Wants to live in UK and glares at Shiroth *

No matter what I still labu you Shiroth~

Yeah living in UK does help sometimes, though if you ever need any help with ordering something, i'll always help out.

Well...there's always Kinokuniya. That's where I get most of my stuff.

I...get them directly from a shop ]DD *SHOT*

I can help people get stuff if anyone wants o.o only issue is you'll have to deal with additional shipping fees but HK prices are surprisingly okayish.

I can't remember what the sheriru book costed though, may have to go back and check.

ALSO they're coming out with new chibi MacrossF School-scene chibis 8D!!!!
(I think its the same people who did the NyanNyan chibis?) i want them nowwww *A*

I'd love to get a hold of some of the Macross Frontier chibi's, though none of my local sites seem to sell then. Not even HLJ, which is a huge surprise.

I know for a fact that the shop I usually go to as the NyanNyan noodle chibis, though how many they'd have by the time I go there next I'm not sure. They're also slightly inflated because they purposely open the boxes for you to choose the character (whereas most anime hobby shops keep it random so that you fumble around XDXD)

As I said, if there's any specific ones people want I can always go check prices.

If that shop still has the NyanNyan noodle chibis, then if it's alright with you i wouldn't mind knowing the prices. As for characters, i don't mind as long as i have a few.

Thanks a lot ippus.

Just as an estimation though:

The shop keeper usuuaaalllyyyyyy gives us a discount since we buy so much from him (hahahah;;; ) but at least by store price, the most a chibi may cost would be 10USD.

The Red ver. characters are more expensive than the Blue versions.
Sheryl Red is most expensive while Ranka Blue is the least.
Alto is second I think with Klan +Ranka Red sitting in the middle area.

Airmailing something so small would prolly only go about 4-5 usd.

you might want to tell me which ones you want most.

Megahouse keeping the high end figure buyers happy.

It's nice. But I think I'll stick with their 6,800 yen Excellent Model versions.

Would this be the thread for discussing the likes of the Side VF Robot Tamashii figures, or is there a separate thread for Macross mech merchandise?

I don't think there's a separate thread for it, though you could go ask for one in the 'request for a thread' thread. Chances are you'll just be sent back to this thread though.

It is kind of odd though that everyone's talking about character figures and no one's talking about Valkyrie toys and model kits, isn't it?

Things sure have changed from the '80s...

I'll give it a try, then.

In the interim, there is some data on the Side VFs here, plus a review of the -F here, in case they haven't been seen already.

Oh, and a look at what is to come, too...

so my friend went to w/e that huge shopping district is in Tokyo, and went to the gimungo anime store there, and they were sold out (or didn't stock) the Sheryl artbook. a huge shame, considering its only 1000 yen..

I already got my copy of the Sheryl artbook from HLJ.

I was at Kinokuniya Bookstore a few days ago and they had a few copies left (for $15.20 each).

I was THIS close to purchasing Pink Monsoon too.

Also got my copy of the Sheryl artbook from HLJ

(Standard A4 size, 64pages)

Spoiler for Pics and contents:

No extras were included (like posters or cards) but considering it cost half the price of other artbooks of the same type (1000yen = dirt cheap) and the images are just awesome, I'm not complaining xD

Edit:

Ranka is getting an artbook too

More pics at moeyo.com

Info from amazon.co.jp

Release Date: 11/19/2009
Product Dimensions: 24.6 x 18.2 x 1.2 cm
144pages
Price: 1680yen

I hope it's not just a guide book, an album full of illustrations would be much better
