There's no issue with that. But I recommend watching the D2 story vids to get you going if you haven't yet. Luckily for you, there's a compilation vid on youtube.

I actually do not mind an enrage timer. Sometimes killing a boss just revolves around how careful you are and slowly chipping a boss away.
I cancelled my preorder because the EB games/gamestop near my home is not doing a midnight launch, but fortunately I found some place else. I hope to at least be able to pick up a CE (even w/o preorder). I guess I will go at least an hour earlier. |

Frankly the graphic was not as good as i expected, but maybe because i have been playing too many consoles games lately...
Which characters/heroes you guys plan to try first btw? I think i may try Mage. Used to play warrior/melee classes all my life, so probably want to try something different this time

Demon Hunter (female) looks interesting, and I reckon I have a fairly good chance of finishing the game with her (compared to say a melee character).
As for others... Monk (male), Wizzard (female), Barbarian (male), Witch Doctor (male). Probably in that order, but it will be a long time before I start them seeing as how much time it will probably take me to finish the game, as in really finish it. Assuming I don't get annoying and just re-roll the next class in line of course. As for the gender choices, purely quality based on comparison videos (animation, walking, emotes, skills, armor). DH: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rihKvheRpDE Male sounds better (in dialog) but has really long arms and walks really funny (for a guy). I guess it's normal since he's carrying a bow, but it kind of looks awkward. The pose kind of ruins all the animations, armor, etc for me. Monk: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gIgrCSUGUsQ Male sounds better, looks better, has a bear (so plays the role better), dresses up better, and walks better. Wizzard: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tZ6ryOVOnB8 Probably would play a male wizzard if not for the female wizzard being funnier, talking funny, having more fluid animation when casting sells, fancy armor animation, better (armor) color pallet and detail, and not to mention she walks way better. Barb: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LMdS8JdsTX4 Mostly personal preferance, kind of think the male version looks just a little bit better. WD: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9gI6fA6SeNA Male version walks way better (sick old man walk), and also has a better idle animation (the trembling). Female version looks like a wizzard dropout. The armor also looks a lot more interesting when it's on the male; it's something like Scottish skirt things, it's not so special if a women wears it, since then it's just a skirt.

In order, i probably will go with:
Wizzard> Demon Hunter > Barbarian > Witch Doctor> Monk. Don't know how the drop system going through. I means can they all wear each other armors? And can you create multiple characters using the same war chest to transfer rare drop?

Gold and stash space are shared amongst all characters, with the other limiter being that only softcore can exchange with softcore, and hardcore can only exchange with hardcore. Cheers.

PVP won't even be in the game initially; it will be patched in later on. As I recall yes perma death in pvp was scrapped, since literally nobody would play with their hardcore characters in pvp. I mean seriously, pvp in D3 is an unbalanced "for fun" mode so it would have been one of the stupidest ways to lose your hardcore character. This is for the most part a singleplayer/co-op game.
Also hardcore is not exactly balanced. It's like pvp more of a fun-with-friends mode. Normal and Nightmare, maybe Hell. Inferno supposedly un-doable. That's a good thing though, games need undoable shit in them (stupid grinding not counting).

Hardcore is for bragging rights: there is no RMAH, getting a high level HC character is a lot o time and investment on top of knowledge and good reflexes.
I see some people who want to jump right into HC: but as the devs mentioned about dying 10 times at the beginning of act 1 in inferno, I do not think it is a very good idea... |
