I can't answer your questions kukuru without spoilers.
Even pointing out hints would be a spoiler at this point. So please, just TAKE MY WORD that you're simply getting ahead of yourself. Not by much, mind you, and I have answers to all your questions, do you want me to send you a PM or something?

Archimedes was stabbed to death by a common soldier, so don't overestimate academics, either.

I'm surprised at Itami. Despite how he acts, the guy is quite calculating. I was half expecting him to abandon his position to go help/rescue the townspeople on the East gate but, instead, he uses this as a way to leverage with the Princess.
That Princess is really naive. I suspect that her father sent her out on this errand as a way to get rid of her. He probably intended for her to encounter the Japanese forces and die like all the other Lords and nobles he disliked.

I'm liking Pina's character. Last week it looks like she was a little shaken up after visiting that king/general. Now she's not only in her first battle, she's in command. I like how seriously she's taking it, and she's fairly down-to-earth for a princess, but then having a concubine as a mother probably helps with that.
I'm also liking the Sergeant Major more, too. (Pops)

So the analysts can't rule out the current existance of more assault forces of the same size as the ones that have attacked Tokyo or the gate with heavier nonhuman components that are inbound from the worlds those non-humans come from. No military analyst is going to claim there is no chance of another attack given the proven existance of multiple worlds. Especially since the Empire has thrown a hundred thousand troops a month at them already. Which implies they either have better logisitics and infastructure than any premodern state or enough resorces that they can afford the wastage. And either means they have or can raise more field forces. |
