You know what's missing from that list of items at AmiAmi? A beach towel with the swirling fish design like the lap robe. I could see bringing a big towel with that design to the beach. Japanese people go to the beach, too. Don't they lie on big towels like we do here in the US?

Koko a foe? I'm thinking she's being held captive and subjected to indescribable jellyfish tortures.

It appears be a piece of polyester cloth 100 cm X 75 cm (39" x 29"). I'm guessing it's a thin blanket that you drape over your lap when the weather cools down. That's not big enough to function as a beach towel.

I like the idea of Coco marrying the dragon, cyth! Then she'll no longer be "married" to Haru, and he will be released to stay with the Enoshima gang.

Do you mean that Coco would be taken care of making Haru free from full responsibility of her?

She comments that watching Yuki & friends makes her wish she was born a guy (lol) and that she'd like to visit Enoshima someday.

I looked at YouTube again the other day trying to find video of people dancing in Enoshima. I've heard there have been a few sitings, but so far I haven't been very successful. I've found some disturbingly oversexed elementary school girls, young people hanging at the beach with a heavy beat background, and a nearly five-minute walkaround with a video camera at Enoshima beach. The videographer is a bit too frenetic for my taste choosing never to linger over any scene too long. I notice no one is lying on a beach towel.

So, could this become my next career? Start by selling Tsuritama beach towels at Enoshima beach, make licensed beach towels a nation-wide fad, and corner the market. Who's in?

First volume LE contains: A box to hold all six volumes, bonus music CD, two art cards, booklet, special Atsuya Uki illust booklet, Enoshima map and an event application ticket. The BD contains episodes 1 and 2, next episode previews, clean OP/ED and audio commentary by director Kenji Nakamura, Ryota Ohsaka (Yuki) and Miyu Irino (Haru). I'd so love to use that ticket, except I'm not in Japan. orz

I tried watching the TV & BD versions side by side with dual monitors but gave up after ep1 cause looking for differences and listening to the audio commentary at the same time is hard...

The episodes were definitely improved for the BD with redrawn faces, added detail to backgrounds and objects, minor timing adjustments (there was a scene where they made the clouds drift slower) and etc. Yuki's flashbacks were upgraded with various scenes forming the words 今日の出来事 (Today's Events) before the film reel kicks in. The flashback scenes themselves had some extra filter effects applied to make them more dreamy. I'm very pleased with the amount of effort the staff are putting in. Shame the sales aren't looking to be good. *sigh*

If the various doodles they've been tweeting isn't a sign that they're having fun with this, the audio commentary mentions that all of Yuki's random classmates are actually modeled off A-1 Pictures staff members. They even have their own names and reference sheets. XD

There was a Q&A session going on at Twitter not long ago to commemorate the finale. The result was a whole lot of random trivia. Some informative and some very, very random.

Not sure if I missed any, though I think I skipped a minor one or two. My question about Keito's previous job never got answered. ;__;

This has been one of the best original series that I've seen in a long time
It's amazing how well this series has developed and evolved the characters with great maturity and such grace

I think I am just lucky that more of my favorite characters are not made into figures. I didn't get the Yune though since I try to stick to scale figures, but if you do get her definitely post pictures.

Anyways Kakkou thank you for posting the BD caps. I especially love the concept art.

Now I am very excited about today's finale but also sad that I won't have these characters weekly anymore. Sentai better give me my DVD set soon.

Also a friend of mine just tweeted she was going to Enoshima. I want to go there so badly now.

Flashbacks to the fun days with Haru were nice.
They were just the motivation Yuki needed.
Fishing for that dragon was certainly the event of a lifetime.
Goodbye time was pretty cheerfull, just like Haru always was!
And life went on.... and Urara came back!!! ^-^

Keito 67. - Natsuki and Erika are relatives. - Akira's superior's codename is George Ace. Real name unknown. - Q: What is inside Akira's turban? There was a handgun the last time. A: Love, courage, ham and a spoon. - Yuki is fluent in French and English. - Akira and Tapioca first met when they were assigned as partners by DUCK. - The fish tank in Yuki's room belonged to the previous owner. - Natsuki got into fishing at the age of 3. - Tapioca and Boss's (the cat) relationship is more of them thinking that the other looks tasty. (Not so sure if I got this right) - Akira is single. - Sakura is in 4th year. - The next ep previews are done by Sugita (Akira's VA) running with whatever gags the series composer makes. - There is a pool full of ducks on the rooftop of DUCK HQ. Members of a certain rank are allowed to choose their own duck as a partner. - Haru's clothes are all Yuki's. - DUCK HQ is in Dubai. - When asked about the DUCK license and how Sakura's drawn duck worked, they replied that the matter has become a problem within DUCK. ^^; - Natsuki's eyesight problem is probably hereditary. - The flowers Keito asks Haru to think of as her are Gerberas/African daisies. - Natsuki is the most popular character amongst the staff. Akira has popularity amongst the professionals. (Not so sure what pros (玄人) they're talking about) - Tapioca is voiced by Tomokazu Sugita (Akira) and Boss by Nozomi Yamamoto (Erika). - Children of around 5 years old and animals are able to see Haru's triangle halo. - The 35 on the back of one of Natsuki's shirts was a play on the Japanese word for "coral" (Sango). - Ayumi's voice actor was recommended by the music director. - All three of them pinned down Natsuki and had a go at cutting his hair. - Coco is an E cup. Her three sizes from the top are 89.60.91. - Another idea they had before "ENO. SHIMA. DO~N!" was "SHIRA. SU. DO~N!" (Whitebait bowl). - Natsuki isn't fond of smartphones and the like. - The Enoshima Dance steps might be revealed in the DVD/BD or in some way. The staff are considering it. (Oh yes, please do it!) - Erika's three sizes: 90.58.87. Misaki: 95.62.90. - Yuki is a natural red head. - They refuse to tell Sakura's three sizes. - Haru's different necktie from the others is for fashion. - Aliens arrested by DUCK are strongly persuaded to go back to their planet. There are some cases of those who settle down on Earth though. - Coco's glasses are prescription glasses. - BD/DVD vol.2 will have a drama CD. - Q: Did the director & staff have any confidence that Tsuritama would be popular? A: "Pretty much NOTHING ☆". - Prior to Enoshima, Akira was stationed in the US at Missoula, Montana. - Akira's superior is from London. - The bunny ears on the DUCK yellow suits are for communication. Very hi-tech. - The daily wage for working on Ayumi's boat is 5500yen. - DUCK members are worldwide. The turban and sunglasses are a dress code. - Some staff members have taken an interest in fishing ever since production started. - Q: Tell me Akira's three sizes! A: We'll have to go to Enoshima to measure him after this. - Haru, Yuki and Natsuki use the bathtub. Natsuki runs a lot so he bathes a few times a day. He occasionally uses the shower. Akira showers. - The producer thinks that it's unusual for staff to love a project as much as they do. Even he is proud to be involved in it. - Akira's been measured: 95.81.98.

Nikkan Senior Member Join Date: Dec 2008	Last episode Spoiler for Thoughts: Wow, who knew fishing could be so intense? I'm really really satisfied with the ending. It had everything from suspense to humor to friendship and a nice closure for both side- (Go captain!) and main characters. Urara was cuter than I suspected and Yuki recognizing himself in him was a nice touch. Overall I enjoyed the show very much, both art wise and story wise. When reading the Q&A above, I think the love for the show from the staff really shines through and you can tell they had a lot of fun working on it. Now I want to try fishing too
