Movies that you like but everybody else hates?

Like Chiibi said this on 'Anime you love but everyone else hates? XD' thread,

"Pretty much the opposite of the other thread. No, I don't mean underrated. We already have a thread like that. I mean shows that you liked and you see a LOT of negativity about them. Online reviews, a majority of opinions you see on forums, what your friends say, etc. This is your chance to defend them.

If you're brave enough."

I'm gonna try that to see what movies that you like but everyone else seems to be hated about it like my top movies below inspired by 'Doug's (Nostalgia Critic from TGWTG.com) TOP 10 movies that I like but everyone else hates':

- Mr Bean's Holiday
- Final Destination series (1 - 3)
- Resident Evil: Afterlife
- Speed Racer
- Terminator Salvation
- TRON Legacy
- The Matrix Reloaded & Revolution
- Blade Trinity
- War of the Worlds (2005)
- The Longest Yard (2005)
- The Island (2005)
- The Day After Tomorrow
- X-Men: The Last Stand
- 2012
- Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen

Like I said, everyone else had their own opinions & it shouldn't meant to be taken seriously. And I've should be ashamed of what I've been done recently. Taking people opinions way too seriously.

Terminator Salvation too. At least better than the third movie.

Yeah, me too. I would also add Battle: Los Angeles to the list. I like it simply because of its effect. I accept the movie has some negative points which as people says made it quite a shallow movie. But as long as we enjoy it, who cares?

I actually liked that movie as well, and I also liked "Jumper" for similar reasons. Don't get why it wasn't well received.

Good Burger. Apparently Rotten Tomatoes gave it 31%.

Speed Racer - like many critics, I disliked this film on its arrival/crash. But seeing it for a second time on IMAX really started the change of my opinion. First of all, the film is gorgeous. Absolutely beautiful. Secondly, this is probably the best anime-to-live-action out there. Not simply because of the visual effects (though that helps), but due to the simple fact that the creators have an honest appreciation for both the form and substance of anime (and the original Speed Racer). And thirdly, while the characters and acting initially seem simplistic and silly, on further viewings it becomes clear that this simplicity was aimed for, and the actors play their parts quite well.

This is really one of the few films that my opinion has taken a complete 180 on over the last few years.

That being said, there are always guilty pleasure films like 2012, Blade Trinity (with Ryan Reynolds and Jessica Biel being so hot, how could I not like this film ), the Spongebob movie, etc...

Can I speak within the vacuum of a franchise? I've heard that Godzilla VS Gigan is either one of the best Godzilla films ever or the worst flick since Godzilla's Revenge, and I'm inclined to go with the former. I dunno how well this series stacks up against general opinion though.

@ Terminator Salvation
Awesome movie, I don't recall anyone not liking it, then again, I don't read movie critics.

@ Jumper
Great movie too. Love the concept of a "jumper" ability. Makes me think of something Marvel like (imagine if Marvel made a movie like that). I think people didn't like it because of the main actor, Anakin lolz.............................................. .................................................. ........
Not the best actor for the film. Also, IMO, I think adding his girly friend to make it more of a chick flick killed it too.

@ Avatar, the Last Airbender
It WOULD have been an epic movie IF it didn't have SUCH HORRIBLE ACTORS! My god, I've seen lots and lots of movies, but there aren't too many that I've seen where I disliked it a lot due to actors, and this is one of them lolz. The plot was done decently, a little too fast, but almost all the actors are horrible...if they are making more sequels to it, I won't be looking forward to it.

^I love the fantasy films of the 80s, especially Legend, Willow, and Dragonslayer.

Watch it ASAP. Once you do, I think you'll understand why so many people dislike that movie.

THE LAST STARFIGHTER

omg that movie is awesome, yet everybody goes "wut?" when I talk about it... or they compare it unfavorably to Star Wars.
