It was certainly a lot more creative than just changing hair colors but I wouldn't call SSJ4 good looking. Pink fur, ugh. I'd take SSB any day.

Best Super Saiyan form for me is SSJ2. Looks great on any character.

You answered it, Vegeta is great in Super while Pan is awful overall in GT. So Super is still better than GT.

Gas is finally defeated via a combination of Gas doing a Cerealian version of the Special Beam Cannon (which is just a big energy blast...) and Goku using a stand. After he used it a bit last arc against Moro, I'm getting a little worried that we're actually going to have Kaijuu Stand battles in the next arc.

"Old man" Gas is literally burning up his own life energy to try and kill his foes.

He even looks like he was about to succeed against Goku and his "new" Ultra Instinct form.

But it wasn't enough when Granolah joins the fight again and charges up one final, planet destroying blast to end the fight once and for all. Perfected Ultra Instinct and the "Susanoo" technique makes a return when Goku uses it to toss Gas into space for him to take on the full brunt of Granolah's beam. Even Vegeta helps out a bit.

I gotta say, I love seeing Elec's smug smile finally wiped from his face as all his plans for Universal Conquest is flushed down the toilet. Granolah even takes a page out of Goku's book and tells Oil and Macki to collect Gas and disappear from his sight forever, no longer interested in revenge (deciding that its not worth wasting his life and remaining days on pieces of trash like the Heeters)

A lot of readers are saying that they're glad the fight is over at last but is it really? Elec is still around and he is PISSED. No more stooges to do his bidding (Gas is out of the fight and Oil and Macki are probably not going to want to listen to a guy willing to sacrifice THEIR lives for HIS ambition.) No more strongest universal warrior under his thumb to take out Frieza for him.

Given how pragmatic the asshole is, he is most likely going to try and kill EVERYONE there now that they're all on EMPTY. Unless deus ex machina shows up out of nowhere to save our heroes.

I doubt it's over. It's not often that Dragonball villains get away with their body intact. I can't imagine Elec just going away peacefully either.

I really want to believe it's over, but it'd be surprising if it ended like that. Elec finally starting to panic in this chapter gives me hope he has nothing else up his sleeve and he was just an idiot all along. But there's still the 10 questions to Zuno subplot left to be resolved.

Did Toyotaro forget how to draw Omen or was Goku having plain black hair and no aura intentional?

I am hoping he will leave, but encounters Frieza (the one characters always talks about but haven't made an appearance yet), and got smashed like a bug

To add to this, Frieza was supposed to be harmless after he lost to Vegeta and couldn't maintain his Golden Form, but then he managed to one-up them and destroy the planet and Vegeta along with it anyway.

Frieza wasn't even directly fighting during the Broly movie and yet he managed to give Broly a powerup anyway.

Moro was "weak as shit" after Vegeta used his spirit fission and yet he managed to find another powerup anyway.

Cell was no longer a threat when he threw up 18, and everyone knows what happened after.

In this interview, around the fifth minute mark, Toyotaro gets asked how strong Granolah and Gas were before their wish. He says stronger than Ginyu but weaker than Frieza (first form) and about on par with unfused Abo and Kado (those guys from the Son Goku and friends OVA). In short, they were complete fodder. And Gas thought he didn't need the wish

Black Frieza now

The reasoning for why he can be so much stronger than Gas makes sense. He wasn't in this universe (he was in a room of spirit and time training) when the wish was made. Him one shotting Goku and Vegeta but letting them live makes no sense though. He'll regret this.

Elec turned out to be a complete shitter. He had zero back-up plans and he predictably didn't give a shit about any of his siblings. Incidentally, Gas not knowing that his life was shortened is odd, since the dragon is always supposed to ask people stronger than him for their permission before granting a wish affecting them. But given how that dragon is, he probably just asked if he wanted to be the strongest in the universe and kept quiet about the rest.

Anyway, good riddance to them. What a horrible arc this ended up being. The only good part was Granolah vs Vegeta.

Break next month so Toyotaro can prepare the next arc.

What, this whole Granolah and Elec non-sense was an arc and not a part of something bigger? I gotta say this really felt like filler material between the non-sensical power levels and inconsistent flashback stories.
