There was a community event today in my neighbourhood, and each volunteer had to cook something. I made apam balik. It's similar to pancake but in my country, you put filling inside the pancake. I used sweet corn and peanut butter for this apam balik. It's very easy to make, so if anyone is interested, I can post the recipe here.

Sweet corn and peanut butter inside of a pancake definitely sounds interesting. I'd try that.

Cool, I hope you succeed. Well, it's so darn easy plus the fact that you have experience in cooking means you will definitely succeed, heh.

Ugh, seaweed. I loathe the taste of seaweed. Tastes like eating a ton of rotten fish mixed with old grass.

I've only had seaweed in sushi and miso soup, but I like it, especially in miso soup.

The piece of kombu they toss in a pot of miso soup isn't bad, because you're not actually eating the seaweed itself.

The stuff used to wrap sushi (nori) is not seaweed; it's a type of algae that's been laid out in sheets and toasted.

For me, all that really impressed was a sharp, salty taste. Then again, my memory for how foods tasted is not that great.
