Yessss!. After watching episode 2, Chizuru has become the most awsome female in the show cause she gets to do the badass and...errr exotic puns.
Good thing this anime is only 12 episode-ish because there really going to run out of gags and jokes real soon.

Another good episode... I loved the Fullmetal and Death Note references, including a couple others one that I can't remember right now, they were pretty funny. Also like Sugisaki's little speech in the end too, if he can pull more moves like that with the rest of the cast I'm sure he'll be able to bag all of them by the end of the series. Anyway, can't wait for the next.
PS. anyone going to answer my earlier question from episode 1? Quote:

Ah... this anime tastes like happiness~ I think I can breath a sigh of relief now, since two episodes in I believe I can enjoy the rest of the series assuming they continue to dish out episodes of this caliber. Sugisaki is shaping up to be my favorite character of the show thus far, as they've toned down on his character gimmick from episode 1 so it's a lot more enjoyable now, and that he seems to be one of the more sensible characters in the student council. Another plus is I like how he's managed to be the one to end the two episodes on a bittersweet note, and they can even subvert it and play it for a gag seemingly.
Death Note parody was definitely the winner for this episode, and I caught onto a lot more this time around compared to last episode. I'm also curious as to who the Mafuyu look-alike is in the cliffhanger, because it looks like there's some friction between her and Mafuyu judging from the preview. I wouldn't be too pleased if my long lost twined suddenly showed up in my school either.

Just checking over on 2channel, and this appears to be a fairly popular title so far, with almost 12,000 posts. Koihime Musou (33k), Railgun (27k), and Queen's Blade (30k) are ahead of it in total posts, but those may be continuing from previous series, not sure. This has three times as many posts as Sora no Otoshimono, surprisingly. Kampfer is close, only a thousand posts behind. Nyan Koi, 11eyes, Blacksmith, etc., are below 5000 posts.
There is an anti- thread, but the main thread is fairly positive. One person wrote: "This isn't a bad anime, except that it's addictive." And there are some "kaichou is my bride" posts. (Kaichou=council prez). There's a neat list of game levels for the show: LV1 -- Seitokai no Ichizon? It's a classic moe anime, isn't it? Meh. LV2 -- I'm getting used to the OP and ED. Not bad... LV3 -- Wow! Mafuyu is really terrific. LV4 -- Wow! Chizuru and Minatsu are so cute! Kaichou's the only problem.... LV5 -- There's too much of this noisy Kaichou.... LV6 -- I want to marry Kaichou! LV7 -- Kaichou's the best! I could live on Kaichou and water. LV8 -- I married the Kaichou! LV9 -- Wow! Mafuyu is the best! MAX -- I want to talk about ero-games with Sugisaki And early Amazon pre-sales of the DVD are pretty good, in comparison with some other current shows, according to one post: Seitokai no Ichizon DVD1 LE -- #119 Sora no Otoshimono DVD1 LE -- #137 Queen's Blade 2 DVD1 Blu-Ray -- #462 Seiken no Blacksmith DVD1 Blu-Ray -- #513 11eyes DVD1 Blu-Ray -- #715 Nyankoi DVD1 Blu-Ray -- #993 Book of Bantorra -- DVD1 LE Blu-Ray #2544 They seem to be settling on SeiZon as the abbreviation for the show. One more thing: a pic of the seiyuus for the four girls, which one poster said must have been posted by someone who is against the show (click to enlarge): (l-r): Togashi Misuzu (Minatsu), Honda Mariko (Aka-chan), Saitou Yuka (Chizuru), Horinaka Yuki (Mafuyu)

NOOOOOOOOOO!!! I don't want to go outside of the room. Outside off the room is scary D:
Other than that, this series is starting to stress me out instead of me enjoying it, since I keep pausing every 2 secs trying to scry a hidden reference on the background or trying to get a double meaning in every dialogue line the characters say.

I think I'll go with L7. Anyway, I give up resisting. Aka-chan is just too sweet (and moe) so I'll just stare at her like idiots every episodes. Yep yep. Sou suru yo~

Lol, everytime I see the Pres with one of her quotes on the board, I wonder how long it took her to write it, seeing as she's so short.
Sugisaki (Ki-kun) really funny when he said 'Have you ever seen me, a worshipper of H-games, score a girl in real life?' ROFL

I believe that it's the combination which appeals to me. All ribbing and bullying aside, what I consider remarkable is the warm and human undertone which the show displays particularly in the last minutes. All characters show some genuine care for each other there, which is showing the sometimes pretty harsh teasing over the day in a different light
Kurimu is the first Loli character which I can remember that I'll root for in a harem setting. I normally ABHOR loli moe. Nevertheless, I find her personality quite appealing... and how can you not smile if she's beaming like a 1000-watt light bulb after munching on some snacks? This show is tough as nails and a bitch to work at, but I hope it will continue to be worth it. For now, it's making me smile and giving me warm fuzzies - so I hope they just stay as they are. |
