Surprised that no one has posted this here but it's been on CR for a while now. That's where I saw it and I liked it pretty well for a short.

so let me get this straight. i read THAT's blog on this and...

Spoiler for it will ruin the movie:

did they or did they not know they were on the moon the whole time? because i thought when Ura got shot out of the elevator, it was his revelation that they were on the moon instead of the earth. and Riko found out when she saw the recording at Ura's station.

Spoiler for answer:

Tvtropes says that's the big twist, it was the moon all along instead of the earth, and that made a lot of sense to me. Of course I found out before I saw it, but I can't think of any other way they had such a beautiful Earthrise at the end.

^ yeah, that's what i figured too. i don't remember them saying that at any point in the movie. and it made the revelation that much more powerful.
