I recall hearing some complaints elsewhere from people feeling that the LNs never really went far enough with the premise; from not doubling down on the ecchi-hentai elements despite it being the world of an eroge, to not really going that indepth with the worldbuilding.

Was wondering when this would receive an anime adaption, I liked then LN enough that I would like to see one.

Guess it's time to go back to watch that 3 year old official trailer for the LN that is a parody of an old eroge OP.
