Bring out the Yandere's!!

Hi,Please suggest anime with timid girls who end up cruel and psychotic later on.I have seen higurashi, school days btw.The girl should either be the lead or the leads love interest or at least play a vital role in the cast.

I don't know of any anime like that, but if you don't mind reading instead of watching, the Future Diary manga may have what you're looking for.

I definitely second Future Diary.

Also, I haven't seen it myself, but I hear that Shuffle! also has a character of that sort.

Triple on Future diary. I'd say that the yandere over there is pretty much the dictionary definition of what a yandere does.

If you don't mind playing an 18+ Visual Novel, the Heavens Feel arc of Fate/Stay Night has this.

Send a message via AIM to synaesthetic
nthing Mirai Nikki.

Can't believe the Elfen Lied manga hasn't been mentioned, either. The anime is pretty but inexplicable (the plot is suspiciously missing).

Manga has a lot more plot, plus more yandere-ness.

Watch Shuffle!

I think there are some Yandere moments in Nanoha, but I'm not sure.

By the way, there are some CD dramas in youtube about yanderes... Creepy but DO WANT

Mmm... I thought I was original with my signature (sorta) oh well. I love Spice & Wolf... just putting it out there. Not really a Yandere relevance there.

On another note, are there any Yandere characters that aren't completely psychotic? Meaning, likable ones or ones that don't commit horrible atrocities?

I don't think that's exactly possible, since Yanderes are supposed to be sweet and timid and then just go....off. It's kind of a rule that they have to do something, or else they don't fit the qualities of a yandere. They can be sweet amd timid and have a horrible past, but it's not yandere unless they commit some kind of...bad...act or have a mental breakdown of some sort.

On another note, my suggestions are: Umineko, Gift ~Eternal Rainbow~, deadman Wonderland, Pandora Hearts, Hetalia (has atleast one that I can think of), Shigofumi, Sola, Yandere Kanojo, Gintama, Mai-Hime, and X/1999 (I'm not completely sure if that fits, but it's been a while since I've seen it).

I third Shuffle.

I see... Hmm. I think there's a Yandere in Kure-nai (manga version)... not really in the anime though.

Gasai Yuno from "Mirai Nikki" (aka "Future Diary") is probably the best in the business. Then you have "School Days", take your pick, results may vary depending on the medium you use.

For the lets say artificial yandere you have shows like: "Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei", "Higurashi No Naku Koro Ni", "Pandora Hearts"

Lucy from "Elfen Lied", probably not, she's more the mindless killing machine; there's little emotion when she's killing people.

Ho ho trust me, there's much better yandere's than Yuno out there.

One of the best ones I've seen/heard is from a drama CD called Yandere no Onna no Ko. She was actually threatening to kill the one she was attracted to if he didn't obey her.

Search "yandere" on Youtube and watch the first result you get for a translated sample.

I think the lack of visuals adds to it very well, really turns up the creepy factor from these characters.

Yeah, that's something I've always wondered about. In order to be a tsundere or kuudere, you need a perfectly realistic set of personality traits that describes plenty of people in real life. To be a yandere, you need to be willing to carry out homicide. Quite a leap there.

I think Sakura from Da Capo might fit what you're looking for, though - she's not ax crazy, just very obsessive, dependent, and maybe a little unbalanced without being psychotic or homicidal.
