Precisely what I implied. There is absolutely nothing that explain "when" Hisashi and Rei first met each other. Consequently, the fact Rei couldn't confess to Takashi but Hisashi isn't strange, in term of relationship progression.
Seeing that Takashi couldn't pick her clues, Rei probably met Hisashi some time later and got attracted by him, and progressively shift her feelings. Nothing exactly special.

Unless we are assuming multiple time skips in which she got held back when they entered first year was in their class and now its second yea and the 3 are in the same class again. Which I think is just taking it way to far.

Well, considering Saya said that Takashi barely made it, it seems Takashi never had to start again a grade.
That said, having Rei skipping a year completely may be possible if she has the same age. But I believe it is more probable that she is a year older than Takashi so.

Might be simple as Hisashi being a nice guy. A good guy who presumably showed interest in her and thus her feelings shifted toward him. Do wonder how much background they will give into that situation since Hisashi is dead now. Of course that past does directly impact their current situation.

You'd stay there and do what everyone in a military does before they allow zombie survivors to enter, only to totally dismiss their warnings.

Zombie apocalypse survivors always do the obvious and try to fight their way to military bases for protection and/or escape.

From there, the commander would dismiss the civilian survivors that just fought and killed their way through thousands of zombies.

Survivors: "Zombies... the virus is spreading. They are changing. We need to get out of here. "

Commander: "Nah, we're the military. We've got this under control. Dr. Deathbender here is running experiments on zombies as we speak. He thinks he may have a cure or a weapon within a few days."


You would then break out someone like me from the holding cell and offer to get me and my friends out of there by stealing a helicopter which one of your friends will fly. But as you break me out, the zombies escape on the other end of the base when Dr. Deathbender gets careless.

You eventually escape on the chopper with survivors before the base gets nuked.

Let's make things clear here with Rei x Takashi....Takashi did not confess and make his feelings true to Rei and Rei most likely confessed. It's logical (big fan of logic) to assume that when she said that he did not return her feelings it was that.

At least if it was not she gave hints that Takashi failed to see as love. Point done. In the manga it just gives more details. Speaking of what's coming up I still wonder how much more ecchi will be done and how much action/gore might be gone.....if you get me.... Yeah I started reading the manga....

Nice discussion on Rei going on the last few pages. Now I see where the hate for Rei comes from. In my opinion it's totally Takashi's fault for pushing/letting Rei drift away. As the man he should have been the one to take action, but it seems to me, pre Zombie-apocalypse Takashi has some kind of tsuntsun/apathetic attitude going on.

Yeah but apparently from the Manga's point they forgot to include at the end of this episode.......that Rei got rid of that attitude of his by allowing him to hug her.
