There are Jeremiah, Lloyd, and Cecil; but isn't unclear about how much they are involved. Lloyd seems more part of it since he was horseback riding with C.C. I can't see Cecil joining anything that would involve a slaughter or something that is intended to get Suzaku killed.

Well they don't HAVE to know Zero Requiem. I'm guessing Kallen and Gino talk for a bit about what's going on with Suzaku/lelouch and figure they'll have to meet them in battle to find out. I mean surely at this point they know that Lelouch/Suzaku are fighting against the entire world and they'll defintely want to know why.

You know she's going to fight someone. Otherwise there is no reason for her to have her own personal Lancelot.

Let her fight against the Black Knights. It's time some of the Black Knights started dying and for cutting off Zero

To rehash old musings on episode 22 again, (since I watched it one more time) and to play around a little with what was really going on in the background between them. Because the limited dialogue tells us nothing.

Some have said Kallen didn't see through Lelouch's mask. But are we so sure she didn't? Obviously she's willing to give him the benefit of the doubt. But after the kiss she seems more disappointed then heart broken. And I don't think it's just because he's being an ass. But that he doesn't even trust her enough to discuss his true intentions when he clearly is willing to do that with C.C and the guy who has been trying to kill him Suzaku.

P.S I love Lelouch's reaction right before she kissed him (when she steps up to him) The Emperor mask is completely shattered for two seconds before the kiss, during the kiss, and after IMO.

For both quotes, Zero Requiem, whatever it is, should click all the pieces together for her. The question is whether or not it's too late.

Fair enough. You're probably right.

But just to add to my thoughts, knowing that Kallen was still jealous of not being in on anything when she saw Lelouch and C.C. earlier this season.

She knew for sure he cared for her when he said 'live on."

Obviously she wants to know to what extent he does, but he didn't have to get her to join, or say "I need you're help" to show he cared.

He didn't say anything. He didn't even try to defend his motives, he cut her off completely.

After the kiss they stared at each other for long moment (with the wavy anime eye cliche.) She was obviously for him to say something, anything at all.

We've found out by now that Kallen, like all the other in-love heroines, isn't smart enough to figure it out even with a bit of assistance. But in the end, I think she'll come to terms with the reality. However, she might not.

The sad fact of the matter is no matter what anyone says or does, Kallen has a hard time opening herself up to the hidden world. She can't seem to accept the world of lies and deceit that Lelouch lives in. As long as she refuses to see past such things and stop asking questions that anyone with common sense can answer, she'll realize that Lelouch cares about her. Whether he cares about her more than a friend or not is a mystery that we may never know, but the fact of the matter is that he does care about her.

More than likely, C.C. will probably have to tell her straight out what she should know by now.
