(L) Freezing [Manga]

Louis is more like a character from some dark, rape hentai. Putting aside how much everyone does not Like Louis.

I'm more annoyed at the level of psychological damage Louis has done to Stella that is really one screwed up relationship. The whole plot and character have gone to hell.

The start was good, interesting plot and concept but ran dry after a while. This arc just annoys me like hell. I just want Aoi to freeze the psychopath to death.

Gonna keep following to the end I hate not knowing the ending of something I start.

Welcome to the trend of most of this guy's stuff- interesting concepts that just never quite live up to expectations (usually depending on exceptional art as the story goes to average)

And yes, that's partially why I'm following this still... that, and the RAGE arc has around 4~6 chapters left.

You should really keep up with it. This arc is almost over and then the story will get back on track there are some very interesting plot twist coming up and also Satella and Aoi's relationship progresses. This kind of abuse is pretty hard for most people to watch but there is a method behind the madness and i think you will like how this arc ends so i say dont drop it just yet.

Wait, you really think the majority will like Louis being spared by Satellizer's sisterly love after all he's done? When I read spoilers and looked up the raws I thought Satellizer saving him and still loving him as a sister was even worse than her giving in to his blackmail.

Please remember this is the guy that is actively the reason for her trauma and her phobia of being touched yet she still expresses empathy for him and to me this pretty much means she's afflicted with something similar to Stockholm syndrome - so no, I don't think the arc leaves a good feeling.

Of course the arc ends on a cheery note and if one would only look at the overly happy ending, that'd be fine but what about the way to get there? It's like the train reached the station, fine. But did it have to crash through a hospital and an orphanage?

Please spoiler me about EVERY...SINGLE...RELATIONSHIP...PROGRESS...between Stella and Kazu. I don't give a rat's poo dispenser about the pandora fights anymore. Romance or what's this series is best known for, bust. I personally think that the hentai doujins about the author's works have a better story than Freezing-.-, and it's hentai.

Well, I don't think it's QUITE that bad, but yea it's definetly pulpy to the max.

I guess I do agree that I am more interested in Kazuki x Satella. Satella is fairly run of the mill for a character of her type (SUPER HOT though) but Kazuki actually balances that out because by manga loser male protag standards he actually has some balls.

I didnt mean he would love the ending just that he will get some sense of satisfaction out of the ending. Especially with Louis and his Pandora. Learning to forgive and move on is a part of life and even Satella knows holding anymore animosity against her brother will do nothing for either of them. Satella is learning to get over her trauma and Louis is learning just how much he has hurt the person whom he claimed to love. I feel it needs to run this course its not the best arc but not enough for him to drop it because of it. Because the next arc is really good. I do not believe Satella displays a form of Stockholm syndrome. When all is said and done he is still her brother as fucked up as he is and Satella is the kind of person to save him because of Aoi's influence. Much of this arc left a bad taste in mouth but I see where its going. Now we just need to get through it.

I dont want to spoil anything but if anyone thinks that this can stay quiet for very long they are not reading carefully, they are all in the same hotel and Aoi has already sensed something strange going on. Aoi has displayed a curiosity for anything involving Satella and her behavior alone is enough for him to get involved. However how he gets involved will piss people off even more, however how Aoi handles it will give him bonus points with lots of people.

I DID check back, but when I read that it was about the pandoras and not about Stella and Kazu growing closer together, I got bored and stopped halfway.

This is what Im-Dal Young does and why I've dropped pretty much every work he's ever done. He's got a great artist and comes up with some nice ideas, but they always turn into crap really quickly. UxU is fairly mild, but I can't stand the main character. Aflame Inferno is going nowhere... and shared some of the torture porn elements that Freezing has. Onihime is probably the least dark that he has, but I still expect someone to get raped, tortured or slaughtered at any point.

Don't know if thinks all this stuff makes his work actually good or if he's just got a twisted mind that gets off on torture and rape. Either way, I've come to dislike all his works. I almost have to wonder if he writes like this so that when the artists draw his scenes, he can sit home and jack off to own works.

Although UxU has taken a sharp turn into STUPIDVILLE in the last few chapters, most of it was solid work. Plus I like that Protag because unlike 9/10ths of romance manga characters, HE ACTUALLY HAS BALLS. (how revolutionary to have a young man act like, well a MAN, warts and all).

Kurokami is fun too (manga haven't seen anime).

Freezing is pulpy to the max but then again all his work is to an extent and it least it's paced well.

Everything else by him is kinda meh (Though Orihime VS. is kinda funny)
