Some of the CG needs serious improvement.
The characters look good though. Story sounds ok, but it could go in any direction. The whole lawyers thing is a unique concept. Don't know what to expect. Main characters are practically all girls. Looks like they were saving the fun for the very end. Not bad, but it's still missing something. Think I'm gonna skip it.

This was a promising beginning, but Galilei Donna was promising at first too. At least this show has Umetsu's character designs, which I much prefer over the blandness of Galilei Donna or most modern shows' designs. |

Ok, now that was a very promising first ep!
Definitely going to give the next couple of eps a go.... Again, nothing terribly deep or profound, but seems pretty good so far.

Umetsu is back in his element.
That was a very promising first episode. Godly animation for a TV anime and an interesting premise. It even has Norio Wakamoto! If the animation quality holds up, we've got a winner.

The Practice: Wizards
Already some sakuga moments in the first episode. Looks like this show will be full of them, so that alone will get me to watch it. Otherwise, the concepts are interesting (when was the last time we got an anime about criminal defense) and direction seems superb so far. |

That was quite an impressive premiere. It went straight in without any hesitation and we got an entertaining (if a bit simplistic) case on how mutants WUD are treated in this society and how the characters plan to combat the discrimination through law (a premise that's been heavily underused in this genre imo).
I'm a bit on the fence about the main character though. She's been showing a few "can't do no wrong" signs which gives me bad memories of Hajime from Gatchaman Crowds...

I do hope that they will explore the discrimination angle in a good way, though - I am reminded a little of Petopeto-san, actually (an adorable series of some time ago that is criminally neglected in my opinion and whose round and fuzzy exterior belies the serious issues it touches upon).
