Finished reading the 51 chapter of Deadman Wonderland, but even tho it shared many similarities with MN, i still found Mirai Nikki waaaay more interesting: in DMW i didn't feel much tension or surprise

I had planned to watch the anime adaption of DMW tonight, but i won't bother. Tonight i'll probably watch Baccano.

Given that you have dropped Clannad (you actually have dropped at episode 15 or something instead of episodes 6-7, according to your first thread) but you'll take it in consideration, I read somewhere at LB thread that some people consider Clannad a bit boring. To give more information, the first season has 24 episodes and its sequel (After Story) also have the same number of episodes.

But something unexpected and less boring didn't happen until the second half of AS. Despite some flaws, many people consider Clannad one of the best romances ever. And the romance gets developped better than Haruhi and S;G, so you'll need to re-check this one.

Episode 3 of Baccano, but i'm feeling a bit confused: all this going back and forth, between 1930 and 1931 is screwing me a bit. The type of artwork and animation is the one i like the most (similar to DN and S;G), and the characters so far were cool, but i'm really finding difficult following the plot.

From the post above yours, it seems you dropped Clannad

Why? And that too after 18 episodes. I assure you after watching both seasons it will be in your top tier of favorite anime.

Finished watching Baccano, and even tho it wasn't exactly my cup of tea, i could somehow enjoy it. I really wanted more of Firo. Characters were scattered all around, there was no main character, and even tho following the story was hard in the beginning, i was able to understand it later on.

The romance in it was very pitiful, but it contained action and a music that adapted very well with the background. The characters i liked the most were Firo(for being badass), Isaac and Miria(for being funny and cheerful). What i didn't really like was the little character development. I wasn't able to get attached to any of those characters :/

I'll now start White Album

Finished episode 6, but i don't know if to say that "i like it": the whole situation reminds me of School Days, and that was an ugly experience. Before things got fucked up, i was liking school days very much(which was the first episodes). I don't think this'll turn in a bloodfest, but i have a bad feeling about it.

Beside that, it fits my requirements 100%, isn't boring, all the girls look awesome and the graphic is perfect. It's just the SD situation that doesn't put me at ease. Continuing it

Baccano has 3 OVA episodes. Episode 14, 15 and 16. Have you watched them all?

The artwork and animation reminds me VERY MUCH of the Disappearance of Haruhi Suzumiya: it looks almost identical, and that kind of animation is flawless, well framed, perfect, i love it. The protagonist also fits my requirements 120%, even tho sometimes he bothers me: the thing is that the protagonist is thrown in the same situation Makoto was in School Days:

He is engaged with Yuki, but he loves(or thinks to love) Misaki, and he makes out with Yuki's manager. At the same time 3 other girls like him. He doesn't have any bad intentions, and he isn't as dickhead as Makoto, but he still makes mistakes: he can't resist the seduction of Yuki's manager, he doesn't really cheer up for Yuki(Yes ok, he's told that he'd be an obstacle for her and so he stops seeing her, but this way he hurts her more), and i lately noticed that i'm softer than i expected: i really can't bear a girl crying. That's why anytime the protagonist makes the girl cry because of his mistakes, i get pissed off (Pay attention: when the guy makes mistakes. When the girl cries because she misunderstands, i can still bear it, but when it's the guy's fault, i'd like to stomp him)

Anyways Yuki, of all the girls, didn't give me much the feeling of "the main heroine". She most probably is, but i don't feel like it. Also, i loved Rina and i hope the 2nd season has more of her. I'll start watching it after lunch, but will give you my impressions after i finish it.

And sorry, you were right: it got mostly romance, and the idol thingie is a really minimum detail. You know, i thought that the protagonist was a full time manager, and that the story only took place in the studios, but instead it dealt with the life of this normal guy, attending college and trying to pick up his girlfriend when he could, while getting in touch with other girls. Oh, and there were also kiss scenes (even tho Yuki's manager bothered me a little).

Thanks for having insisted on this title, but i cannot say "so far i liked it", because i don't know how it'll turn. It could end up in a horrid way like School days, or a similar one without blood maybe, but still horrid ending, so i'll wait to finish the 2nd season to give you my impressions.

Considering you have watched Steins;Gate, Chaos;Head would be a good idea to watch. Both are created by the same company (Nitro+ and 5pb.) and they set in the same city called Shibuya, but the themes are different. Also, C;H sets one year before S;G starts. The show is primarily consisted of some unexpected kind of mystery filled with mindfuck moments. The romance is here, but it is used as a dramatic (but not depressing nor touching) thing for the show. It ends with a unexpected ending.

And the message "C;H set one year before S;G" not so important cause it doesn't have any connection what so ever.
The story Idea is completely different, One is about time travel and one is about illusion and delusion

Can't understand why C;H is awful. Other than that, Classified will watch it because I suggested it, considering that both animes are created by the same companies (Nitro+ and 5pb.), even though you disagree. Don't fight over such trivial things: i had downloaded time ago Chaos;Head, and dropped because i didn't like it at all. It's totally different from S;G indeed, and i'm happy i didn't check C;H before S;G, because otherwise i would have probably skipped S;G, and that would have been unforgivable.

Anyways, i'm currently watching the 2nd season of White Album, but hell, i want more of Rina, GIMME MORE OF RINA.

Currently getting Highschool DxD; i'll watch it wednesday when i get back from uni (Easter holidays). I'll wait for bakabt to release ZnT f.

Finished watching White album, and i loved and hated it:

85% of my vote comes from the artwork and animation, just because i can't rate such title low: it is probably the title that got the best artwork and animation i ever came across: just the amount of details, the real-like artwork, and the cute girls in it... just because of it i'm giving this title a 9. The plot was overall very good, and the anime dealt with real life, but the only problem was the protagonist. If the protagonist was more worth than a trash bin, this title would have probably gotten in my top5.

This anime was like a beautiful wedding dress covered in mud.

I have little time, since tomorrow i have university, so i'll start Koharu Biyori (that is only 3 episodes) and go to sleep.

Next week i'll watch Highschool DxD and the other titles you suggested so far. I'll edit the main post with the updated list.

EDIT
Now i know why i felt Baccano's style was very familiar: doesn't it look like some of Tarantino's works for its fucked up timelines and atmosphere? Just like pulp fiction.

Finished watching Koharu Biyori and it was a really enjoyable watch: it was light, ecchi and relaxing. I really enjoyed it; how sad it was only 3 episodes long. Thank you for having suggested it, i really needed something like this after DN, DMW and WA.

I agree that Ganta was surely better than that failure of Yukiteru, but i still prefer Mirai Nikki, for the amount of tension, pressure and surprise. You didn't get to know Yuno's true face until the end, and everytime she scared the fuck out of me. The whole thematic was also way more appealing for me, and there was surely lots more romance. In DMW the romance was.... 0.08%, rest was fighting and slicing and maiming, and everyone loosing some piece everytime. Not saying that i didn't like it, but that i still find mirai nikki superior. It was a good read anyways. I had planned to watch the anime adaption of DMW tonight, but i won't bother. Tonight i'll probably watch Baccano.

Spoiler for however: it turned out that the girl was some poor kid who gave up her voice, while the boy was some mad murderer who couldn't kill someone without destroying his body. The thing is, i could have got attached to him, but characters were given really poor development, so i didn't have any reason to get attached to him: i mean, you just encounter it in the train, while murdering anything, you see his confession for a girl he never met, and then you see him asking her to marry him out of nowhere. Wtf? The OVAs were of course light and dealt more with the romance side, yet he wasn't given such space. Who i really liked was Firo: he gave me a very good impression the first episode and i would have liked for him to be the protagonist. How sad he appeared few times. Isaac and Miria were funny and cheerful, but beside adding some laugh to the anime, it's not like they had such important roles. A romance between them would have been pointless anyways haha. I didn't like jacuzzi anyways; i don't like crybabies, and how sad his girl was half destroyed by her chemistry experiments with explosives. Ladd had some charisma, but i didn't approve his actions, even tho he surprised me in the end, when he jumped off the train to save his "beloved". Still, from your signature, what i thought was: a cool agent flirting with the cute assassin girl. It reminded me a bit of Kinji and Rika from hidan no aria. Classified Info I miss Haruhi Join Date: Sep 2011	Finished watching White album, and i loved and hated it: Spoiler for spoilers about s1 & s2: The artwork and animation was flawless, every girl was absurdly beautiful, the setting was totally awesome, and i liked the girls's character. I could have liked the protagonist aswell, since he looked good, seemed kinda normal and good hearted in the beginning. Yes, in the beginning: It was the protagonist that made me hate this anime. No, not the anime, because i actually liked it, but i hated him. At the beginning i received a School Days feeling, but i thought it was just occasional and that would have been sorted out, but my 6th sense proved not to fail: Fujii was a Makoto who got away alive, that's it. He proved to be a dickhead, and i hated him for it. Just what the hell: you have a wonderful girlfriend, yet you make out with her manager every often, get in touch with her friend(Rina) like you weren't engaged, confess your love to a senpai, satisfy the needs of your childhood friend and eventually kiss Rina aswell. The only thing i would have wanted was a change of heart, from Yuki to Rina, that's it. I really disliked him for what he did, and the only time he gained my respect (for 6 seconds) was when he said "I shouldn't be loving anyone": you were completely right, there, sir: you shouldn't be loving anyone. Get covered in shit. I felt really bad and sad for the girls, especially for Yuki and Rina. We were just lucky that the anime didn't evolve like School Days, but it was very near. Even tho what i didn't like of this anime was all his fault, i found the rest good. I liked Rina very much from the beginning, and i would have liked if she was given more space.
