It would still work in the context of the story. She is retired in the sense that she no longer fights on the front lines. But despite that retirement, she didn't let it stop her from capturing a rogue scientist and shut down a major illegal research project.

That was really really good, Shiny.
Welcome! The crack's over there *points at Shiny* the khrack's over there *points at Meister...Kha...whatever* and the *cough*spiked*cough* punch is over there. Everything else can be learned as you go. MOAR NEWBIES. Welcome! I liked your offering. I think the extra works as the thing you actually call the 'epilogue'. I loved the fic, especially when it made my day through Winged!Lindy. Completely unrelated: any strategies for breaking a writer's block? Specifically one seemingly induced by stress (and don't suggest removing the stress factor; I can't).

Original works I get blocked on frequently. Sadly I've been neglecting all of my writing as of late, due to the stress imposed by moving to a new city with nothing but a dream. ... not to mention the drastic change of climate and local flora has made me quite ill, and I don't have a warm place to lie down. This has put a serious crimp on the creative parts of my brain. Which is very unfortunate because I really want to start on my "Hayate Yagami, Gundam Meister of Celestial Being" crackfic. =(

Plan it out in your head. Write notes down. Even if you can't turn those notes into actual fics for awhile, at least you have them so you can work it out later. Or go back and re-read/watch what it was that inspired you in the first place. Listen to different musics. I was listening to "Youth of the Nation" when I finished up my longest fic (Grave's New Life.). Watch something else that can get you inspired somehow. (I had to marathon s-CRY-ed to get my muse back to me.) Speaking of muses, make sweet, sweet love to yours. *Taps chin* Yep. that's about it. Or, worse comes to worse, just write shorts of anything. Keep your skills up, you know?

Such as the movie Jumper, I took the name "Paladins, a religious cult group set on killing all Jumpers" from there, and used it for Vampire!Fate for the "religious" group who hunt all supernatural beings such as Vampires, and Worgen. That alone gave me insane plot bunnies :3 Just step away for a bit and collect yourself. ^_^ EDIT: Quote:
Don't be intimidated by the good stuff out there. Instead, try to write something better. your short was really interesting. From the first line, I thought that this would be a nice breath of fresh air from all the normal (well, normal for us) stuff out there. And I was right, it was pleasantly refreshing. You captured her perfectly, in my opinion, and I commend you for that. I can't offer any grammar help, but I will say that it did flow smoothly. If you wrote again, I'd take a look at it ^^

I abandon it. For awhile, I just completely leave it alone and do something else. I listen to music, I hang out with friends and family, and occasionally I write a few shorts or start a new project to keep my skills up and my interest strong. Then, when the inspiration comes back, I just work on it again. ^^

The abandoning thing doesn't work for me sadly. If I leave a story or plotbunny alone too long, I lose interest entirely. Because of this I rarely finish anything. I have to stay focused on it or I won't get past the 10k word mark.

Ha ha ha ha. That is exactly why I've been writing like a fiend as of late. I get distracted too easily... (though I've noticed when I have a really good idea it stays with me)
When I get writers block I tend to not write. Which is actually really unhealthy for me (literally when I don't write I get sick and/or really moody). But I've never had writer's block that didn't naturally pass by. From personal experience I know a lot of authors when suffering writers block tough through it and just keep their butts in their chairs and write anyway (and then subsequently throw it away while keeping 3 lines but that's a whole 'nother story). But then again they're all on deadline as well. (on a slightly related but not quite note, if any of you should become professional authors never ever accept a multibook deal that wants the books back to back to back. It will not only burn you out it will make your family miss you because they'll never see you. Writing's awesome but if you make it your profession remember to take holidays ^^) (and in case anyone's wondering I know all that it's because I'm an author brat (aka: kid of an author)) |

Sorry for the double... No I'm not.
Anyway, this is part 4 of chapter 5 of "Day in the Life". I think this is a good cut-off point for the chapter... Just a bit... *Shifty shifty* Anyway... Um... Embarrassed Vita gets embarrassed and Yuuno's not quite as innocent as we think. Spoiler for Time Skip PT IV:
I think that's enough for a chapter... only 4 parts... *shifty shifty* Okay, I lied. Here's the final, FINAL part of this chapter. RadiantBeam... Spoiler for Time Skip PT V:

EDIT: You ninja'd me by posting the fifth part before I clicked on "reply" Aww, it was also cute ^^ It's good to see that the relationship between those three can actually work out without any of them playing favorites and loving each other equally. Great job ^^!

Comments welcomed, begged for! I'm also looking for a beta, since I've never written a multi-chapter fic before, so the help will be cherished! If you liked the prologue, please contact me. Otherwise, enjoy! |
