Pastel*Palettes's episode was kind of blah. Not just compared to last episodes nuttiness either. I think the problem is that they are all too sane. They are lacking the strong and sort of weird personalities that lead the other bands we have seen even the want-to-be ninja is just background noise with no effect on the band.

Episode 9
And just when you think you've got the story figured out, it progresses in a way antithetical to what you think the show is. I play the BanG Dream! game and I know how wrong things go at points, but I wasn't expecting that same spirit to be carried to the show. Moments of vulnerability catalyzed by a character's flaws rather than forces beyond their control
The amount of threads moving all at once is also astounding. Raise-A-Suilen's formation, the multitude of characters they're connected to, the beginning of the peak into Sayo and Hina's relationship, the pages of Yukina's idiosyncrasies slowly turned. Some bands are inevitably relegated to a later date to showcase what they're all about. For the sake of the story the anime wants to tell, like the game, it's emphasized the characters that would make the most sense to tell the story with ...my heart still breaks for Tae Hanazono I feel like Layer knows what's up, Chuu2 is none the wiser, and Pareo and Masking don't seem to care either way

Episode 10
There's not a lot I can say about PoppiPa given the show is putting their emotions on its sleeve. I'm expecting PoppiPa will wonder if Tae should stay with RAS, but I suspect she's already made her choice
Speaking of Raise-A-Suilen. Layer and Masking must have a lot of patience to deal with Chiyu Tamade. This girl and her resources have created a band out of spite toward Yukina, by accident or on purpose she treats everyone around her as a means to an end, and at one point in the episode there's a burst of desperation from her to keep Tae in RAS (thank goodness the others reminded her Tae only ever signed up as a support guitarist) The way BanG Dream! has introduced Raise-A-Suilen has been nothing if not bold, but they are going to be the 6th band eventually. It'll be one thing to see how Rokka figures into this, but more interesting is how they'll handle Chiyu's turnaround. When she realizes or regrets treating everyone as tools. And maybe some deeper insight into her character The thing is. It will be really difficult to buy this as RAS' origin story if Chiyu keeps treating everyone the way she has been. That their non-binding highschool-age amateur (amateur as in career-wise, not as an insult) band can maintain longevity despite the lack of camaraderie. Once Tae leaves, it's just Layer and Masking on speaking terms and that's it; neither of them seem keen to talk to Chiyu while Pareo just seems to be a family servant None of this, however, commentates on the penmanship to the show's script. These are deliberate dichotomies. The question is how all the disparities unify into something that can believably stick Until then. I'm not calling Chiyu Tamade by her stage name P.S.: The fact Arisa just restrained herself with clenched fists really gets to me. She normally pops off quite readily when she gets flustered or angry. So. To see her like this brings a greater seriousness to it

Gonna be interesting to see how they write this. because this episode obviously sets up Rokka joining RAS, but definitely not as they are. Something is definitely gonna happen to make Chiyu take a chill pill but also I wonder how the heck Rokka is even gonna be introduced as a potential guitarist to be recruited into the band. My guess is maybe Tae herself recommending her but I also wouldn't rule out someone at the school festival having recorded and uploaded a video of her solo.
The scene with them trying to design an outfit is actually funny because going by the key visual for the second season and the opening we already know what PopiPa's new costumes are gonna look like, It is kinda funny that they still think they need to build up anticipation over that. |

It really pains me how few people watched this series.
Some did not like S1 probably (I personally just skipped it). Some hate CG. Some though it will be another idol sh*t. Just my guess. But its really a pity. It was probably the best SoL/music show I watched. Especially if you are a fan of properly animated musical performances (not just some dancing idols)

That was a fun last episode. Good songs and everyone coming together for one last show to send this season off in style.
I think Roselia had the best song and Hello, Happy World! put on the best performance but PoPiPa came in second in both so not bad at all for a new band. |

Watched episode 1:
watched imemdiately after finishing season 1 the cg of season 2 does not bother me. Pastel girls are so cute. Well, also that group that has a mascot caught my attention. looks like there are more places to perform now. Episode 2: organizing an event sure is tough. Impressive those Roselia girls were able to make their event a success.

Episode 3:
have developed respect for Rock after seeing this episode. Cute moment when she went to the shop accompanied by her grandpa to buy a guitar. And she works so hard too.. Roselia group angered a producer.. I guess they are in a bit of trouble. Although it's funny when producer set upright the garbage can again. Episode 4: Hello Happy World is the craziest group so far. Kokoron, Michelle, and that girl who keeps saying shakesphere made me laugh so hard.

Episode 5:
Pasupare certainly is the cutest group with those costumes. But this group feels the most bland to me. the only good part of the episode is when they sang Yurayura. Episode 6: Afterglow is a really good band. I like their music. And that's some serious effort they did manually carrying all those equipment. Episode 7: Aya recruiting girls from other bands. Well, it's just for fun anyway. The leader of Roselia is ok to "lend" a band memberto others. Producer seems to be planning something. ><

Watched episode 8-13:
sad when Hanazono was not able to arrive in time. But they learned the lesson.. it's not possible to play in 2 bands. Happy that Hanazono choose to remain in Popipa. Pareo looks like she's the stress reliever of Chuchu... or maybe she likes it when Chu2x kicks her? poor girl >< at the the Popipa live show... really impressive, from their humble beginnings in season 1, Kasumi and her friends has earned the respect and friendship of four other popular girl bands. They even say the popipa chant before the performance. ^^ Hard to decide the best performance, as everyone is good. Hello Happy - always make me laugh. Their marching band feels like a circus performance mixed into band. Pasupa - the cutie idols. Despite being busy, they manage to help Popipa. After Glow - I like their music and choice of lighting effect. Roselia - gothic group, always intense in their music. I think they sang Firebird as a reference that Popipa has been revived like a Phoenix? Kasumi being invited to join Hello Happy - it would be so crazy if she performs with them. Kasumi waifu Hanazono does not approve though. xD Rokka invited to join Popipa. She decline because too many guitarists already? Well, I hope she finds her own band someday. onwards to season 3!!!
