Judging from the PV, it looks like a light-hearted story about cute magical girls doing cute things, with lots of pretty colors and animation. I don't have any issue with the character designs; they look quite lively.
I'm nearly sold on this already. |

It makes me think of K-On!... as magical girls... done by SHAFT. The character designs and animation are indeed quite impressive. This show will be worth watching for the eye candy alone, regardless of anything else.

Oh yes, you guys might be interested in taking a look at the official website, where you can directly comment on the anime and see what others have said.

Shaft really knows how to capitalize on this resurgence of the Magical girl genre. After something thought provoking, dark and plot-based, now they switching gears and making a happy-go-lucky magical girl series. I can already smell the $'s in the making. Brilliant marketing scheme I'd say.
The PV presents visuals that might be the best I've ever seen from Shaft, with smooth frames, vibrant colors and nice character designs. Unfortunately... I can't help but feel "pedo" and that's largely due to the "high-pitched, squeaky, forced anime girl VA and singing" which is something I have always been uncomfortable with. Straight away I can tell this is marketed to a older male audience than it is to little girls. It's no Cardcaptor Sakura in other words (which was something I liked and felt comfortable with). Because of that, I'm not sure if I'll be following though I'll definitely give the first few eps a try and hope I'll be proven wrong. But to those who like this kind of stuff, I guess you're in for a treat... assuming Shaft doesn't botch airing schedules haha . |

So the PV confirms the speculation that the girls are in a band (or bands since one of them has an electric guitar and another a cello).
I don't mind a lighter approach to the magical girl genre, but I do hope they address some of the issues Madoka raised instead of making it pure mindless fun. |

You're right. Lawl. Combining both the success of K-on and Madoka Magica into one. Oh Shaft, you're going to have to open you own financial institution with all that money. |
