One of the saving graces of the finale is that they didn't shove them together.

At least we got the epilogue scene, the way she looked over Lulu's picture was something worth mentioning. {i have to see the subs to get what she was saying}

The gum cards haven't been released yet, have they? We've just seen what were supposed to be leaks. After what happened with the Korean spoilers early this season, could they have intentionally put out some (plausible) misinformation for us?

Kallen was smiling at the end, it seems that she finally understood Lelouch.
And she will never forget him, I'm just unsatisfied by the absence of gum line O_o

So like many predicted Kallen and Suzaku cancelled each other out and never talked to Lulu. Her primary role in this show was always to counter Suzaku

So the director is a HUGE liar and all the development was wasted... I feel that way and I'm not even a Kalu disciple

So, from what I'm reading, the ending is the most open to interpretation in the world. Did Lelouch live or die? Is he w/ C.C. or is C.C. able to talk to the dead? Kallen understood him in the end/maybe if he's alive he could come back to her? Who knows?

Gotta hand it to a series that can make an ending that tells you absolutely nothing concrete.

Not much, but about the ending...

It wasn't the worst possible ending, as it looks like Kallen understood something at the end and was happy, but the lack of a direct confrontation with Lelouch did seem very anti-climatic, as well as no gum line (apparently).

Kallen understood at the end that Lelouch wasn't a bad guy, finally it was late but she understood everything, it was the reason for her smile.

So she must have understood that he loved her and that's why he pushed her away
Moreover at the end she is showing that she is still thinking about him.

Open ending after all, and since her chara song is telling this...I'm happy xD

If we assume the gum line was supposed to go in a scene that was deleted, where would it go?

I've got a feeling that Kallen could have had her confrontation with Llelouch while in prison, and may have been aware that Suzaku would be under the Zero mask when Llelouch died.
