I don't hate it. It's more of I don't care about it. I mean I don't see any reason for me to play the EN version when I have a 700+ days old account in JP. The story is in english? I honestly don't care. Sure I do look up translations sometimes but most of the time I don't. The only ones I've read are babylonia and halloween 2016 so yeah I don't really care much about translations. While a lot of people insist playing the game for the story... I'm more on playing FGO for the franchise and the game itself.

Here's a 9 turn clear from a different player.

At this point Heaven's Feel should be taken out of the gacha already cause it's fukking annoying when you get it instead of BG. There's almost no reason to use HF over BG. I need 2 more BG to LB my own BG meanwhile I'm sitting on 7 HFs!

From what I've been told they're not 100% but most of the time, but yeah either way I struck a rare rate that I could have done without.

Rome. Not even Okeanos, Rome. The dailies, as I have said, are pre-Fate/Zero Accel Order. With as atrocious drop rate, which make the lack of monuments and pieces even worse, when where in JP you reach a point you swim in those.

Are you sure they were rainbow sparks/feathers? Those are a thing of beauty and extreme rarity. (And this is speaking as someone who has WAY too many Passionlips and Suzukas)

Maybe it was just sparks that turned golden?

Putting a few things together, my guess would be rainbow effects are for:
highest rarity of the class pool + rated up servants

Haven't caught sight of a rainbow flair in a long time. These days it always feels like the gatcha wants to surprise me somehow :P

Silver spark to Gold and just the sudden Gold appearing are probably the most common anyway.

Nope...it's the gold-ish rainbow sparks that spin in a circle at the start. They seem to denote rate-up hit more often....

Ok...I have a theory as to the confusion....

This is how I classify summoning animations (for servants)

white sparks -> silver card -> 3* servant
white sparks -> silver card -> gold card -> 4* or 5* servant
white sparks -> gold card -> 4* or 5* servant
gold sparks -> gold card -> 4* or 5* servant
gold sparks + rainbow feathers -> gold card -> 5* servant

Maybe your eyes are just better than mine, and you see some rainbow tints in the golden sparks?

From experience, not every device processes the various game effects properly. Some things looked one way on my Note 4 and a different way on emu, and are still different on my S8. This might be affecting how some people see things.

I've seen the "rainbow Sparks"—rainbow, not gold turning to rainbow; never seen that anywhere—on 5* rolls online, but none of my personal 5* rolls have been like that. Jeanne (the one not rolled in the guaranteed gacha) was a normal roll until it was shown that it was a gold card. Ishtar and Enkidu were both silver-to-gold. Don't remember what Hijikata or Melt were. Both of my guaranteed 5* (Waver, Jeanne) were straight "gold sparks" on the final card of the ten-roll. Not sure there's much rhyme or reason to it other than certain things (gold sparks for gold, silver-to-gold for gold) elicit certain outcomes.

The only time i have rainbow sparks is when i got Da Vinci, aside from that mostly gold sparks

From my experience I've only seen the rainbow 4 times, there's the rumor around that it can be a SR with rate-up but I haven't seen it myself.

Here's the log:
-orbs become "rainbow" (multi-color) before spining: Vlad, Amakusa, Da Vinci.
-Orbs has a rainbow splash while spinning: Jeanne.

Any other SSR has gold orbs, changing or no animation at all.

Don't think so. Got 2 drops in the 30AP plus the 1 time reward and I have 7. Only Cu needs claws for me at the moment so I haven't used any.
