But from the flashback we saw, the saboteurs shared a very tight tribal bond with eachother. Extending it to peddlers that frequent their town. They're not just empty mercenaries with money as their desire. Toru even in this instance critized Akari for not acting in the proper saboteur way. (which I agree with others, Toru is being dumb here for seriously thinking Akari turned instead of some other outside influence, he's usually much more compliant on these matters)

Which would explain certain behavioural peculiarities including Toru reminding Akari they have a contract in case the transform had made her forget. |

Some awkward scenes but understandably the studio is rushing things so yeah... At least they made it up for the fight scenes. I can watch Tohru and Akari go at each other all day, though clearly Tohru is holding back. Akari bossing around big burly armored men is surprisingly appealing and screams gangsta.

something is bothering me, isn't the Emperor Gaz's remains are magic fuels? not to mention a strong one as well
so why Chaika needs to buy magic fuel? just use the remains to fuel whenever she was in the pinch, at least momentarily and about that flying castle, it uses remain as fuel and memories from the tortured girls. So can I conclude that remain does not enough 'output' to fuel the flying castle by itself? will the remnant run out of magic fuel if it keep being used (like a battery)?

I'm sure the remains would be enough for the fortress. The thing is they seem to be explicitly gathering a lot more magic fuel than they should need. With that in mind, they also seem confident that they can defeat the other fortress that was created as a twin to the one they're using, even though their own fortress ended up failing during the war and being forced to make an emergency landing (suggesting the other fortress is even better than theirs); and also defeat the army that's being sent their way. I think they have something, some sort of superweapon probably, that they're stocking up magic fuel for.

I've got the episode to novel volume comparison for those who interested (thankfully people started adding those for the novel adaptations on wiki):
1-2 - Vol.1 3-4 - Vol.2 5-6 - Vol.4 7 - Vol.3 8 - Original 9 - Original first half + second half based on a story from Vol.1 10 - Vol.5 11 - Vol.5 + Vol.6 |

Please do not ask questions for spoiling future events in the anime thread - do so in the light novel thread. It is tantamount to setting yourself and potentially someone else for an infraction and even temp bans.
That being said, I also thought it was a pretty good ending overall. Am looking forward to season two. One thing I chuckled about were the rather anticlimactic battles. Akari walks into the control room. Thud. Over in two seconds.
