Also, the news networks don't need to actually wait for all the votes to be in to call a state. Based on previous voting trends, poll data, as well as district breakdown once the votes tally to a certain percentage the news networks will just call it because by then it becomes obvious who the winners are. Having a low population makes it much faster for a network to 'declare' a state. |

It's all manufactured drama. Unless Ohio magically finds votes for Romney, the math doesn't look like it's even remotely likely he wins if Obama gets Ohio. ie: Florida can go Romney. Obama doesn't actually need it.
In other news, the beach was great today.

California might shift things around a bit. All out Representative seats are up this year and all the boundries are different (some representatives are going against each other in new districts while their old district is assigned to another area with total new people running).

At this point, I'd call the election for Obama.
I'm kind of surprised no news outlet is willing to do this. Math isn't hard. But, I guess there's more money in pretending there's doubt in who can get 270 votes?

I have a Masters in Microbiology. I grew up bouncing back and forth between NY and HI. I'm supposed to be that "educated voter who knows better than to vote for Republicans" . As an independent, I self-identify far more with Republicans than Democrats (to the chagrin of my very political family that is die-hard Democrat; spent my youth "volunteering" in more elections/campaigns than I want to count). I generally ignore social issues, and think it's asinine how much attention they get considering how little actual legislative attention they get when candidates get into office. Oh, and I love Modern Family. As for this election, I think both Obama and Romney are chumps. The last Presidential candidate I actually voted for was Clinton. And, as for the math, it would seem statistically approaching impossible for Romney to win if Obama wins Ohio, which he is very likely to do.
