Possibly. They did leave that thread hanging, without even so much a mention of it. I'm actually surprised they did another time skip. I can't imagine how sane Saeki will be after all this time, but, even considering their previous encounter, it's hard to believe she still carries a thing for Kasuga at this point.

Honestly, I think he's put his dark past behind him. This latest chapter was pretty telling: he understands Les fleurs du mal quite differently now that he's older. Kasuga has:
-Made his peace with Sawa -Successfully continued dating Aya -Seemingly found his place in the world; going to college and holding a part-time job. Really, finding closure with Sawa was the one real thing holding him back. He still appears to be rather quiet and somewhat withdrawn, but at least he appears to be at peace with himself. If the author throws some giant fuck-you roadblock in his way, I will rage. |
