Connect 2 PC using wireless.
Recently I bought Tp-link TL-WN727N (USB pen). The purpose was access some wireless networks. Then I went to try to make an AP or Ad hoc network and seens I am very dumb or I am not seeing what I am doing wrong. I am using Win7.
For the Ad hoc I used Win7 and my other pc with WinXP connects and nothing. I don't see my Win7 pc at all. For AP I used the TP-link software and my WinXP simply can't connect to it even thou I set it without security at all. The interface is simple and basic. I dunno how I did wrong. Manual of the TP-Link software Can anyone enlighten me how to setup a connection (wireless) between the 2 pc so I can transfer files? It's a pain in the ass to use an external hdd.

Windows 7 does not like it when Windows XP computers try to connect over an ad-hoc wireless network. I tried to do that and set up file sharing to get all the data from my old laptop to my new one, but the thing just refused to connect properly and I ended up slowly transferring everything via three 4GB flash drives.

This is really annoying... I tried with every option and nothing... The XP machine can see the wireless AP but can't connect it at all. And I thought that by these days wireless would be simple thing. T_T
