You'll elicit so many different responses from that questions. People have very different taste when it come to Japanese Manga. There's also so many different titles produced, thus a lot of crap fluff exist out there (I do support the sequential arts and think it's great that there's the possibility for so many different titles to exist... although there seems to be an abundance of mass produced crap and it all tends to look the same after a while). Below are some titles I enjoy. [end rant]
鋼錬金術師!! Fullmetal Alchemist is great! Also, if you want to read some classics, check out Fist of the North Star and Jojo's Bizarre Adventures. FYI: Scott Pilgrim was a lot of fun too! Read it before they finish making the movie! |

Fairy Tail
Soul Eater History's strongest disciple Kenichi Bakuman Rosario+Vampire Air Gear Until Death Do Us Part Beelzebub These are the ones I enjoy the most right now, I wouldn't suggest D.Gray-man since its releases are very inconsistent (although it's great overall). If you have a lot of patience and mental fortitude you could also try three other manga in this specific order: finish CardCaptor Sakura and then alternate between xxxHOLIC and Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicles. |
