Help me out. What's this mean: 収録話数. I just can't seem to figure it out or find it anywhere.

Dee
"May XX
Production Record..."

so this is a log for manufacturing/production, and the comic just wants to leave the actual day undefined.

Thx for the info.

収録: editing recording compilation (しゅうろく)

So "収録話数" = edition number?

who said just learning all single kanji w/o reading or in conjunction with other kanji is useless ?

Sure. Although sometimes the letters needs to be modified like in your case with changing tara do dara.

Posts above: Shuroku Wasu is (recorded) episode count. Shuroku is record, wa is tale/episode, su is number/count.

PRODUCTION DIARY: May XXth

We thought we should somehow solve the spacio-temporal shifting machine problem among all before we enter into the last production phase. But, as a result of an unexpected fortune, we succeeded to conduct a practical test. We must appreciate Mojo. The data we have now will deepen our study and development. "IT" is about to be completed.

むかし、むかし、ご存知のとおり、うさぎとかめは、山の上まで競争しました。誰もが、うさぎの方がかめより も早くそこに着くと思いました。しかし迂闊にも、うさぎは途中で寝てしまいました。目が覚めた時は、もうあ とのまつりでした。かめはすでに山のてっ辺に立っていました。

Can someone help me translate that? As close as possible....

Oooh, i remember this story from school xD
(iirc, it's a fable)
Pardon my sketchy tl, (6.40am atm) - still semi asleep, so when i get some time, i'll tidy this up some.
(or if i've made some grave grammatical error, someone will tc me anyways)

Once upon a time, as you know, a rabbit and tortoise had a racing competition to the top of the mountain.
Anyone would have thought that the rabbit would reach the finishing line faster than the turtle.
However in his carelessness, the rabbit went to sleep midway.
When he awoke, the festival was over and the tortoise was already standing at the top of the mountain.

山のてっ辺に
Throws me off.
Either it's
山の手
or
山のてっ辺に - but the 辺に can't be 'hen', it should also be in hiragana?

It's 天辺, てっぺん. The top.
