Nah; the fact that they're in a somewhat similar situation, though Ohana's quite new to it and Yuina's not, is the likely reason Yuina sought her out. As to how she knew that, blame Tohru, naturally.
Maybe she was/is also afraid of her being a love rival, but if so, her attention is on the wrong girl. What with Ohana's outspoken opinion of Tohru, I doubt that misunderstanding would last long.

Remember: just because a character dislikes someone doesn't mean they'll like-like them later.

But I don't get a sense that Ohana likes Tohru that way. But then, this could be due to how she's still focused on Kouta. If that changes, who knows?

At least, there is no Ko-chan route already.
Ohana is hating Tohru in the first place, then this is the flag that she come to like him gradually. btw according to preview, seems he was hired away from rival inn though. |

Ohana-Kou is a central dynamic to the entire storyline. Even if they don't end up together, it has to be resolved before she's serious with anyone else - and I don't see it resolved before the end of the series or close to it. Besides - I think Minchi will end up with Tohru.

It still amazes me how amazing and consistent the animation on this thing is, i suppose having a big budget helps, but still..
as for the pairing, I still can't see the ending on how minko will resolve this situation, maybe she'll call everyone balut from this point on |

Freud was pretty much the holy grail for unlikely relationships. You can interpret some of his ideas as "when you hurt someone, either physically or mentally, you actually really care for them." From what I see, Tohru is unintentionally spewing out minor insults to Ohana, like she's underdeveloped or small. Unfortunately Freud works both ways here; if he's intentionally putting Ohana down, then he's making a conscious effort to avoid her. If he's unintentionally mean, then he's subconsciously expressing some of his repressed feelings toward Ohana, which may or may not involve love.
Problem is, Tohru's mean to Minko as well; Tohru's might just be a mean person. And to further hurt the case of Tohana shippers (improvised combining naming scheme) I see he's harsher on Minko than he is on Ohana. So yeah... more abuse, more love? |
