He doesn't hate hamburgers. He hates not being able to eat rice. He said in a earlier chapter than the asian race needs a staple of rice in order to survive. So without his rice hes pretty much pissed. I'm guessing this is under the stipulation that japanese rice is better than the gmo crap they sell in the US and the crap imported from thailand. Yes, asians actually have a rice bias.
