Who remembers "The Sound Of Music" - The Trapp Family Story!
Ok folks,
I’ve just made a startling discovery this morning. I’ve not really investigated the World Masterpiece Theatre Series much beyond knowing 3,000 Leages is part of it. HOWEVER I’ve just found out this morning that there is an anime based upon the The Trapp Family Story which was the inspiration for The Sound Of Music. I’ve just ordered volume 1 off Yesasia now. I’m sure all of you knew and loved The Sound of Music when you were little. I’m making a call for translators here. If any Japanese to English translators would be interesting in translating this for Live-eviL I will provide DVD’s and typeset and encode. If you’re interested please contact me on IRC (gumbaloom on enterthegame), AIM : gumbaloom or email at gumbaloom@live-evil.org. -gumbaloom |

Encoder/QC'ers wanted
As you all might have noticed we are a new group doing Capeta as our main project. We are very dedicated to release new episodes at a good pace with good quality. We have quite some episodes translated already, but we are short on good Quality Checkers and we need an extra encoder. So if you like Capeta or just want to help us out, don't hesitate to contact me.
Positions: Encoders and QC'ers Group: Ray=Out Fansubs Projects: Capeta and maybe others. IRC Channel: #ray=out @ irc.rizon.net Contact: Renske E-mail: rayout@gameshideout.com Encoders: Essentials: A good background knowledge of AviSynth and filters, know appropriate use of filters, ability to hit an exact file size consistently, knowledge of both XviD and AVC encoding (not just using vdub.) Ability to deal with both AVI and MKV sources (XviD/DivX/H264/WMV9) and dealing with variable frame rate conversion to 23.976 fps. Quality Checker: Essentials: Having a good knowledge of timing and typesetting. A high standard of English is also required (not as high as an editor though). Your role is to identify errors made in previous stages, such as scene bleeds, inconsistencies, poor Spelling, Punctuation and Grammar (SPAG), and typesetting errors. QC'ing means watching an episode more than just once. You will be the one in charge telling if an episode can be released or not. |

Live-eviL Fansubs is recruiting a talented TYPESETTER who is willing to do on-screens, etc., in short notice (aka: the same night that you are asked to do it). I've been doing this myself for a long time for lots of shows including NANA, Tsubasa Chronicle, etc., and was wondering if someone out there is willing to be outsourced to.
You must be a master with textsub and available to typeset things in random episodes of lots of different anime. Especially on Saturday mornings/early afternoons (EST) and Wednesday nights (EST). If you're not going to be reliable then there is no sense in having you assist, now is there? ^^; If interested, please contact me on irc (Tofusensei @ irc.enterthegame.com), email at Tofusensei@live-evil.org, pm on this forum, or aim at Tofusensei. Thanks! -Tofu |

Snow Queen and Detective Academy Q
Just a reminder to folks.
We are still looking for translators who are specifically interested in seeing Live-eviL finish either Snow Queen or Detective Academy Q Both projects are stalled through translators going AWOL. I personally own the Japanese Region 2 DVD's for both those series so from this point on the fansubs will be R2 DVD rips. I will personally guarentee that if you volunteer to translate that we will stick to a weekly or bi weekly schedule for these series :E If anyone can help please contact myself on IRC (irc nick gumbaloom) or AIM : gumbaloom or email : gumbaloom@live-evil.org or via our forums http://forum.live-evil.org Regards -gumbaloom |

Shin-Getter fansubs is looking for timers (and of course, extra translators wouldn't hurt, if you think you can translate manga or anime, fell free to apply, we have a surplus of raw anime and manga).
You have a fairly big time frame for work, four days at the most is ideal. Please email PronsAmuro@gmail.com Edit: Forgot to mention we need a timer for L-Gaim and Space Runaway Ideon Last edited by Prons; 2006-05-11 at 17:33. |
