When Zenkichi met Ajimu, she told him that Misogi meets a different version of her when he dies. So she might not be completely evil.

At any rate, we know his first Minus is called "Hundred Gauntlets". And we know that "All-Fiction" was originally born from "Hundred Gauntlets" so I'm anxious to see what it does.

Aside from that I have a few questions.

I wonder when the other Minus students will arrive? And who is "That Child". And seriously, where does Zenkichi fit in the Misogi/Ajimu/Medaka web?

Keep in mind that we have not seen Ajimu in person. She said that "this is your heart inside a dream". When Kumagawa was trying to meet Ajimu, he asked to be killed by Gagamaru first. Zenkichi received his Parasite eyes during a dream-like memory when he was blind and rendered unconscious by Kumagawa during the General Affairs battle.

Both never really saw Ajimu in person. With the number of abnormalities Ajimu has, I wonder if she is the source of all abnormalities. She could be a god, or for now, a collective unconscious like the Carl Jungian archetype.

I think it's 88, Issue 14 comes 3/7 and Magico just began this week with issue 13.

I think that this theory is interesting. Could Ajimu be a 'variable' which takes its value depending on the equation? Or Ajimu is someone who is seen by a good person is good, and seen by a bad one is bad.

Ah, so the placement would be for chapter 81 (rankings are always base on 7 chapters previous)... so it would be the middle of the Hitomi vs Emukae fight that got ranked. Chapter 88 would be the latest chapter, with it's placement based on 81's ballots.

It seems that this is the "true" Kumagawa. If he is defeated in this match it would seem that his role in the story would end (unless he turns into a good guy). After all since this is his "real" power, how much higher can he get? Since we still have the other 10 minus plus Shiranui, I think that possibly a new villain will lead the remaining minus. Unless Kumagawa wipes the floor with Medaka with his new power. What do others think of this theory?

Zenkichi, what does the scouter say about Ajimu's power level?

I like the parody of shounen manga in this. Ajimu's abnormality number is so ridiculous that my suspension of disbelief didn't even break. I just think "yeah okay."

Reminds me of the 600 billion exploding talismans except that did break my suspension of disbelief.

Not mistranslated, it looks to me like he said a different thing. This ability is probably a subability of hundred gauntlets and he's going to reveal that later.
Being called hundred gauntlets, my theory is that is gives him more than one ability, or a hundred at that.

Kumagawa says on the last page, that "Bookmaker" is his first Minus. Additionally, "first" is the reading to the kanji 禁断, which can mean "taboo".

The full text on the last page:

Medaka: "I´m nothing than grateful..." (For the surprise attack on her - before she said: "I waited since 300 million year for the day I´m attacked by you!)
Kumagawa: "Really, you are a strange girl. Of course, I hate this part of you, too."
Kumagawa: "Therefore, you make me using it without holding back... My first (forbidden) Minus "Bookmaker" (Creating rejected books).


I think, Kumagawa´s "Bookmaker" skill was it, which allowed him to collect the information of 2000 Abnormals...

Interesting:

1. Kumagawa´s nails doesn´t seem to be an ability, but a skill similar to Munakata´s hidden weapon.

2. Medaka is such a masochist!!

Fridge Brilliance: Why did Medaka have to catch the nails? Because Kumagawa no longer owns "All Fiction", which until now has healed everyone he attacks immediatly.

And obviously is Medaka vs kumagawa sincerely I was hoping this don't happen.
I do not know what to think about ch 89 somehow disappointed me (because medaka vs kumagawa) but at the same time gives me hope for some interesting development in the future, especially that any outcome the fight will have Zen's promise will be completely destroyed.

And I think in the end, Zenkichi will be the mid-point-- which is where all the theories about him being a "Zero" comes in. He can see both sides of the Plus/Minus war. In some ways, his personality reminds me of a de-powered Ajimu. She has both plusses and minuses, but favors the plus side (though Kumagawa only meets her negative side). Zenkichi, while not having the powers she has, still can sympathize with both plus and minus but obviously favors the plus side due to Medaka.

You know, I was thinking the same thing Zen and Ajimu seem similar in nature the only difference (if we think about the Ajimu during the cap 88) and that all the powers Ajimu have made her a little apathetic about things.(like see everyone the same)
Instead Zen as we saw during the manga and during the first meeting he had with Medaka (during a flashback) is too kind and too naive (we've seen at least twice the price of such ingenuity and kidness against the killer plus, swords in his back and against in the recent arc with Kumagawa).
seriously I want to see their past and what kind of relationship they had.

The abnormality to be loved by everyone and everything, which I suspect, Zenkichi has. I mean, everytime he is almost dying, the natural laws seems to take holidays and probability gives him a twink and looks away, while Zenkichi gets away with some really bizarre luck. Hell, I even think, that people and the universe love Zenkichi so much, what they REWRITE THEIR OWN PAST just so he can have his happy end! This, for example would have happened in case of Munakata.

His abnormality even breaks the fourth wall!

Yeah, right.

Yuor joke here but you might be right about this or at least I'm not going to be surprised if we find that Zen has such abnormality

The screw, Kumagawa holds in the last panel is different from normal. Usually, Kumagawa´s screws are Philips screws (with a + on it), but the last screw is a slotted pan head screw (with a - on it).

I'm the only one who thought what Ajimu said to Zen The first time he met her (after he dead).
I have the impression that any relationship Zen had with Ajimu the Parasite eyes ant that talk will be the keys that will allow Zen to return Medaka to normal.
In any case Medaka is naive was not already happened Something like that?(take a full attack).
Anyway seems that minus Medaka vs Zen(Parasite eyes) will be next(if Medaka not go back to herself alone.)

So that "Minus" screw can turn whoever it impales into a Minus? How interesting. I always thought "All-Fiction" was symbolic of how since he's such a failure that nothing good comes from his efforts. I guess "Hundred Gauntlet" could be symbolic of how his negative attitude and outlook affects others.

But seriously, "Hundred Gauntlet" can convert other people into Minus? And, of all the people he picked, he used it on Medaka. Who instantly learns to do anything she experiences? THAT'S SUCH A FUCKING WASTE. An ability to convert anyone into a Minus and he chooses her to use it on, that seems so counter-productive. I'd have used it on Zenkichi. Imagine him as a Minus. Imagine her trying to defeat her worst enemy, without her emotional crutch to lean on. Most of us believe that Medaka would fall apart without Zenkichi and lose her ability to succeed, but we may never see if that's true or not.

Personally, I hope Nisio delves into that.

Or on the other hand it could be a blessing for Kumagawa. Imagine Medaka as a Minus now, and after using "The End" to learn how to use "Hundred Gauntlet" begins turning everyone she comes across into Minus. Leaving Kumagawa to be the one to defeat her. To prove that he can be a winner by defeating someone more evil than himself.

At any rate, this should be good.
