IMO, This is a slow episode. Some can say it's boring (which I can't disagree), but I do prefer things being played like this rather than the rushed and over-the-top Enrollment Arc

I think this as been a pretty bad anime so far and I love the novels so do you think the anime as a chance that it well get better or keep sucking lol.

I think this is the first episode that didn't cut like 10 scenes so I'll give it a 6

I'm really liking Mikihiko for some reason. Might keep watching for him.
Also liking Erika a lot, more than I thought I would when she first appeared.

Question, how did they decide who competes and who doesn't? Like why is Erika competing?

She isn't, so far as I understand it. She cheated, trading on her family name, to be able to stay there at the same time as the competition, but she isn't actually competing.

Like why do some get chosen and others don't? Simply who wants to take part and has the ability?

man, its so frustrating how fast the eps end. haha. i can't wait for the awesomeness. it can be inferred that Tatsuya, even though he was in the van and not the bus, was able to cancel the magic. but once again, they left out explanations of things. oh well.

So Mikihiko wants to be like Tatsuya, not that I blame him, Tatsuya is a badass.

I swear though, they better not pawn Mizuki off to him! this series seems to like doing that....

Based on ability as usual. Tatsuya being the only course 2 taking part even as just an engineer shows this.

Though, based on the Chiba name, if they had a close-range sword-fight type event, I think Erika would have been picked, but all the events are non-contact sports.

This episode throws a TON of names and faces at the viewer, wouldn't be surprised if people forget who's who.
Episode itself was a bit slow. This part in the LN, I enjoyed a lot though, because we got a LOT of character inner thoughts and inferences that really enhanced their relationships. To which, the anime tries to keep some intact, but think most is lost on the uninformed viewer.

Really liking Miki, he's probably the one most will relate best to. Because people love the underdogs that wants to be strong.

I think that is how it is. she's also not a good fit for at least 2 of the sports we know about, speed shooting and Margie Bat(too much leaping for a swords person)

Unlike the enrollment arc there are taking things slow which is a good thing for this arc. The slow pace also helps give more time for character interactions and their traits.

Finished watching through.

Favorite parts in the episode:

- Mari disciplining Kanon (after Kanon going off last episode).

- Kirihara teasing Hattori

- Erika getting called out on her suggestions for Mizuki's clothing

- Kudou Retsu's appearance (and wow, he's kind of creepy with no eyeballs...)

- "Hey, stop it guys! Miyuki's normal!" (So the speaker isn't...?)

Erika leaving Tatsuya speechless and Lost~
Which kinda makes it weird when you read the LN~

in other news, that isn't how i pictured Kudou Retsu. maybe there was a novel illustration of him, but i don't remember seeing it. i always pictured a fatter dude.

Well the manga he looks the same; I think the manga is being directed by the LN author
