Hmm, what type of software are you using to do this?
I dont completey understand what you mean too well xD

With Vista, you can use Windows DVD Maker which SHOULD be included, but I believe that it dosnt come in the Vista basic version if you have that. But of you do, you just insert a DVD-R disk, put in the videos, make a menu, and start the burning.

And if you do not have it, there's a lot of freeware DVD burning programs you can use.

Maybe you mean that you want to convert your .avi/.mkv/.flv/.anything anime file to a DVD compatible format? Well if that's so there's already lot of article about that...

Here's my way to do that anyway :
1. Prepare the file that need to be converted
2. Get myself a nice MEncoder
3. Heat up my CPU by converting the video using MEncoder
4. Burn the result to the DVD using Brasero/Nero/Roxio/Etc...

Or... you can simply to that if you have Nero Recode...

use convertXtodvd. Best burning software there is out there. Its extremely simple to use and doesn't cause as many problems as the others. But just so you know burning anime to dvd gets to be extremely tricky. As soon as you start going into the .mkv, and .mp4's that are hd or H.264 quality or close to it youll find that your getting a TON of problems. I recommend buying a cable that hooks up your laptop/desktop to your tv. Anyway good luck
