Jeez the first defeating Madara wouldn't be that impossible let's pretend for a second that Madara recently gained the power to control the kyubi summoned it during the fight and lost a great portion of his chakra and the first simply controlled the 9 tais and then proceded to defeat a weak Madara now something like that probably did not happen but that is logical... x.x or maybe then second hokage intervined at the last minute during their fight and they double teamed madara and just did'nt tell anyone ; D

Shodai winning even if Madara was stronger than now is nothing surprising either, I mean it's not like the good guy winning against all odds is anything new.

i have been saying this for a while now, when Kyuubi attacked Konoha, he had the sharingan eyes as shown in the cover, which is why Minato knew someone (an Uchiha) was behind the Kyuubi attack.

That certainly seems to be the way that the story has been retconned.

I think the pic is more symbolic of the control and power the Uchihas have over the kyuubi, hence the chains, kyuubi look of desperation, and sharingan effect in his eye showing he's probably caught in a genjutsu. As you said, it would be ridiculus, and complete nonsense, to have the kyuuni poses that dojutsu.

Even if it is ridiculous that the Kyuubi has the Sharingan...i'd say...these creatures.
These Bijuu are the most powerfull things on the planet (in Naruto). And right...the Uchiha's can simply control them. Even the Kyuubi..the most powerfull of all Bijuu's.

The image that i had from the 4th was that he'd be the ultimate person to surpass for Naruto. But i think we could say...Uchiha Joe! Just activate your sharingan and walk up to the Kyuubi and take him out. Seems like Yondaimes death WAS in vain. What a shame..

Sadly enough I have heard those rumours. Hopefully they are just that, rumours, but knowing Kishimoto, I wouldn't be suprised if Sasuke could use Mokuton and Sharingan (MS and eventually EMS).

I agree. He should have sealed Madara . Then the Kyuubi would have just gotten up and walked away.

So, it is possible that the clan had a few Wood users (much the same as the Kaguya clan only had a few Bone users, even though the clan was known for Bone techniques.) Um, I did. I used the qualifier "a few" to indicate that there was a number greater than 1 but less than all. That means that the clan only had a few wood users, which makes perfect sense when you consider that all non-doujutsu bloodline wielding clans presented have had only a few active bloodline users (Haku's mother who is suprised that Haku has the bloodline, Kimimaro who was locked away due to the extent of his abilities, Juugo who is locked away due to the fact he can not control his emerging bloodline, Shodai...).

Can we please drop this as a point of discussion.

one of the current spoilers that I love to hate has Itachi wishing to be Hokage, but because he is related to Madara (i.e. in the Uchiha clan), it is against the law for him to become Hokage. So, he becomes evil. This spoiler blows for many reasons, chief among them the fact that Itachi comes off as a horrific Orochimaru clone who strikes out against Konoha becuase he didn't become Hokage. Truly pathetic.

The illustration on the cover page is interesting. Kyuubi has sharingan eyes (MS ones), but it still needs to be restrained with powerful chains.
