I have not read the translation, but the episode seems quite promising. With or without Clare, I don't care.
About Cassie and her cuts, that was amazing. As a writer, Yagi did something quite good with those scars, it was very deep. It's not something that can or should be explained, it's a way of writing, it's a very shocking image. Roxanne is so evil...a real monster. |

Is it just me or no body noticed this?
Remembered where Teresa cut down those 5 claymore before they sent #2 to #5 after her? 3 of those girls look like Miria , Flora the wind cuter, and Galatea. Galatea is for sure, same hair same face. And about Miria, when she first met Clare, each time Clare turn around and walked away, or show her yoki, Miria alway state that she felt something (yoki) simliar before, monsterous power, but she can't remember. I believe she got cut down by Teresa, and Teresa walked away showing her back, and went to fetch Clare from that black hat dude. the last girl kindly look like Raftela current #10 And the other girl definately looks like Flora, the wind cuter, not sure who is the other 1 Remembered where Clare fought with the Lion. Clare released her yoki Priscilla become terrified. And Esley was very surprise, eventually he sense far away , on the top of the mountain. he said something like "this yoki is one of that monster" What is this monster he talking about? monster = yoma? Teresa or some monster made Teresa strong? or Possibly Esley encountered with Teresa before and he flee away? so he called that claymore a monster? |

I'm in the minority that is not that anxious to see Clare return. As per shonen law, she'll probably come back with a power-up, overshadowing everybody else again.
Let Miria be the Determinator for once. She has been a disappointment in that category. Honestly, I never got the impression that Clare cared that much about toppling the organization; she just went along with it. Hell, we know far more about Cassandra than we'll probably ever know about Cynthia, so calling the three number ones filler is a bit... premature. After all we don't know where Yagi is going with this. |

I'm also in the minority for not wanting Clare to be involved with this arc.
I didn't think the chapter was bad at all, it shows us how Cassandra was killed, and has her (potentially) awaken. If her sudden explosion of old wounds is any indication, the resurrection process is far from perfect and I'm interested if sudden mental instability in Roxanne or Hysteria would have a similar side effect (though the degree of Cassandra's injuries are on a whole other level). If that translation posted earlier is accurate, Cassandra was already severally injured by the time she even reached Roxanne. I REALLY think Roxanne was spewing bullshit about Cassandra only being on the level of a #5 without her technique. If that was true, the sheer number of warriors needed to kill her wouldn't have been necessary, and she could have dealt with Cassandra herself (having witnessed her technique). Then again, maybe its possible that since Roxanne was disgusted by her technique that she never bothered to learn how to counter it, which might be her downfall here.

btw people were speculating about 2-4 chapters ago that this might go on some time without clare - it's not that this is totally out of the blue. btw removing the main protagonist from plot is not exactly mainstream, and I'd rather have yagi try some unusual approach and fail than simply produce the usual shounen. I'll withhold my judgement on fail though since this arc isn't over yet and I rly don't see any point in taking it apart at this stage... it's probably concievable to call this the miria arc at this point - and that is something that in itself is a good thing
I have to admit I am kinda getting irked with the lack of chap...this pic pretty much captures my mood on that 100%: NOT AMUSED Spoiler for image:

It was said that Cassandra took hours to die against all those warriors and Roxxanne. However the manga seemed to suggest the fight was actually pretty short with Cassandra being cut up rather quickly. So if she did indeed stay alive for hours before finally dying, does that mean they left her all cut up and bleeding on the floor an left her dead until she died from her wounds?
If that did happen, then i truly feel sorry for Cassandra .Not only was she unable to avenge her friend, but ended up a very similar fate, most probably mocked by Roxxanne during her final hours of her life. that's pretty cruel and you can only imagine how furious Cassandra must be now that her memories have returned. |

Still not out yet? arrrrrrrr
Btw Claymore being a monthly manga, instead of taking a break, diverting the story from the main char is much appreciated. That is why we have fans of every char. I am sure half of us have lost them along the way... and Claire fans are not that many considering she is the main char. It is most likely we will not see Claire or hear about her until at the very least all the battles on going subdue (around 2 more chapters). I really do wonder what Yagi would be planning to make Claire return. I have some thoughts to making use of Rafty as well. Probably maybe the reason she survived was to have her somehow "read" the mass of Yoki and manipulate the memories... Just a hunch.

more back story for Cass, Roxanne is really similar to Ophelia's actions
about the awakening, Cass was #1 but she achieved it due to her unique skills, not yoki potential, she may end up like Ophelia, who became weaker after awakened anyway, any time a #1 awaken is a big thing, as long as Priscilla is not around...

<_<
>_> Is it safe to come out yet? Last night was pretty.....erhm. But then again, threads haven't been that way in a very long time, so who am I too complain -- Quote:
As for Claire, nothing much else I can say on that front, except yes -- it's best if she, and Priscilla, and Raciella, are all kept firmly away from all this; when this is all over, they shall then get center-stage and focus and we will hopefully get the massive development on all of them that they, and we, deserve.

And to think I just commented on this not that long ago (http://forums.animesuki.com/showpost...&postcount=169). Some people just can't be satisfied. I mean really, it's one thing to have a favorite character; but the story is boring if they aren't the center of attention even for a little while?

I think people are just frustrated its a monthly manga. I however, would rather have monthly quality releases rather than quick weekly releases like Bleach. Not that i dislike bleach...it just does't make much sense and the story doesn't appear consistent to me. Quality over quantity.

When we start getting background information on newly introduced characters I don't have much interest in...and the plot isn't really going anywhere....than the chapters start to feel like filler to me. I just want the story to move on. Clare isn't really my favorite character either. She just tends to move the plot along when she is present. But I am glad you are willing to make such an assertion based on nothing. Quote:

I realize this arc is not to everyone's taste, but it seems a bit extreme to declare everything sucks and nothing is happening. |

Understandable enough, I guess. But I think Yagi doesn't consider this a one [wo]man show; stuff happens even when the protagonist is not there. It's not realistic for Clare to be in the center of every world-moving event. It could also be that getting out of that blob is more difficult than expected, after all this is Priscilla we're talking about. |
