I've been on a bit of a PS slump... I tried something new yesterday, courtesy of Rennir (I'll most likely keep editing this though)

Glad to see you updating this thread Halad-chan First of all, nice job with the sig! I'm definitely seeing improvement so keep practicing! As for CnC, you want to get more flow into it. I can see you tried with those c4ds (or parts of renders) in the bg, but the one on his left shoulder goes off at a different angle than the one on his right. You've got nice stock choice and blending is pretty decent as well But watch out for overexposing things. The C4ds are way too bright and you need to mess with some exposure adjustments layers to help fix that. Also, nice job with the light source, but you need to follow up. Burn and dodge areas according to where the light source is. Maybe you did, but I'm not seeing enough burning yet. His hand and whole arm and that part of his upper chest need to be burned more because they're not being directly hit by the light source, so there's no way they would be that bright. But you can dodge the upper and lower most parts of the arm because light would hit the edges and seep through, forming a kind of silhouette, but make sure to really darken that center part. Also, burn the left side (viewers perspective) of his hood as well because it seems the l/s is directly hitting the left side, when you actually positioned it behind the render. It's acceptable if you don't, but at least make sure that there isn't such a drastic difference between the brightness of the left side and right side of his hood. Burn his other arm more too, except for the edges, which you can dodge All this burning and dodging will really help accentuate the depth too. Oh and that blue on his arm looks out of place because there isn't much blue in the other parts of the sig, and it's basically one random patch. If you want blue, maybe make his entire right arm (viewers perspective) blue? Anyways, I can see you put a lot of work into it and props to you! Keep going out of your comfort zone and experimenting with stocks and c4ds and fractals, etc. because that's how you'll improve

Oh and awesome DP Did you color that yourself? See? Already getting the hang of it Nice job with the skin tones and the hair

I like that it almost looks like there is a spotlight above him. And the art-sy touch. I especially like the part around the guitar. The colours an splash effect are nifty.

Thanks for the comment, zebra! I just layered a lot of nebula stocks on top of each other and did some clipping masks... it's really not much
