AIKa R-16 is also licensed, by Bandai.

Ok, I know that it's licensed. But I have to ask this. Do they ever explain any side stuff that wasn't mentioned in the original 7 parter? After seeing the first 3 or 4 episodes (I forget where the first story arc ended) TWICE, I always wanted to find out more. Despite the panty flashing I was actually interested in the story. Mind you I've never sat through the entire series. As I said, I only finished the first story arc and I forgot what episode that ends at.

Whoa, I wonder how Bandai is gonna get away with this license without the possible issue of child-porn criticism (remember that most of the girls who end up explicitly nude in this title are underaged by US standards)? Or will they do some censoring to fix it?

I don't think they will censor it (and piss off fans), just put the rating high enough.
Main stream audience probably won't even notice this.

Just saw Aika R-16. It was quite a site. I hope that her and her friends have more adventures in store for themselves. For that matter, I hope that Studio Fantasia and Bandai will reserect other series.

Just in case anyone is interested, 24 49 34N, 125 08 56E is Shimoji Island. Specifically it is the tower of Shimojishima airport. Obviously a reference to other Studio Fantasia and Bandai Entertainment Anime.

Yes; it's all quite clear now. This series is a veiled reference to Stratos 4. Consider the following:

a. If you plug the mysterious coordinates into Google Earth; you are taken directly to Shimoji Island.

b. Karen Minamino with a mysterious past and a very calculating mind. This is just like Karin Kikuhara in Stratos 4.

c. A reference to alien life forms riding on meteorites and infecting humans.

d. The mystery man behind Ms. Risako bears a striking resemblence to Tsukino; the intelligence type who managed things behind the scenes in Stratos 4.

Perhaps this is a hint that our friends on Shimoji Island have more adventures to look forward to.
