Haven't played much because I'm busy studying Japanese, doing projects and recovering from Hurricane Sandy. Aside from that, after Christmas, I will have a lot of new games to play with, mostly on the PS3 and the PS Vita (3DS only getting Paper Mario). I also preordered Atelier Totori Plus, which there is a localized PS3 version of and coming out the end of next week. I wonder what additions they have added in this port... but yes, I do know a bit of Japanese although it takes 5x longer to understand what they are saying since I have to look up words that I don't know. Also planning to get Tales of Graces f, Atelier Meruru, Little Big Planet Vita and Persona 4 Golden.
For now, playing more Little Busters on my Playstation Vita, but haven't decided which arc to do first. Maybe Komari since they finished that in the Anime already. (No, the Playstation Vita is not region locked, although the cross and circle buttons are swapped only for the system software, not the Japanese region software)

Finally got around to playing L.A. Noire after buying it on a Steam sale months ago. Good game, though Zero Punctuation was right when the animations get a little silly and uncanny-valley-ish.
Going to dig through my Steam backlog and see what else I paid for and haven't actually finished or started yet... Up next: Fairy Bloom Freesia (on Easy this time, holy crap this game is balls hard) SOL Exodus Bionic Commando Rearmed Mirror's Edge (never did finish this one, so I'll give it another go) One day, when I'm feeling especially patient I might try X3: Terran Conflict and X3: Albion Prelude. I'm all for good space sims but these games are... complicated. Obtusely so.

Thought I'd pop in here with some musings that I've been having ..
Lately I find myself playing less and less RPG or story/plot focused games than usual, and after speaking to colleagues and friends, this seems to be endemic of all of us finding less and less time to commit to these games and more and more often leaving them and coming back to .. well, we have no idea where we are or what we're doing.. Thus, lately, I've been playing: League of Legends, Dota 2 and World of Tanks -- pick them up and drop them off, you can come and go and it'll be the same. I am however, interested in playing Sins of a Solar Empire, which was recommended to me as a good 4X strategy game for someone that enjoys/enjoyed MOO2 and Civ as well as the Homeworld series and Total War series! Reply hazy, ask again later |

I'm finally playing Assassin's Creed (PS3) for the first time ever, it's every bit as awesome as I hoped it would be !
Sadly I have noticed at least two bugs . 1.) Sometimes the loading screen for the animus never "finishes/loads". I'm talking about the one where you can move Altair around it, not the loading bar thingies. 2.) Sometimes the in-game movement "slows down" or straight out "freezes". Does anyone know how to fix these two bugs ?

The trophies for Disgaea 3 is quite troublesome and time consuming to get too. Right now I'm spending my time leveling up and gathering items in the Land of Carnage. Just got my hands on a Legendary Yoshitsuna sword, let's see if I'll live to reach the 100th floor to get the Rank 40 sword. Currently waiting on "THE BEST" version of Catherine(JP PS3ver) to be released later this month.

Hitman Absolution - duno if it's just me, but I love just straight up shooting everyone in the head when the area is clear instead of fiber wiring them despite the many possible ways of killing/knocking out. I do love using the knife as a head shot killer too.
Crusader Kings II - played it during summer and stopped but I picked up a lot of the DLC for cheap during the Thanksgiving weekend sale. So addicting/fun/frustrating haha.

Been going back and forth playing Disgaea 3 and THE iDOLM@STER2 on the PS3.
In Disgaea 3 I've been trying to get the rank 40 items but...since they only appear on the 100th floor of the item world of Legendary rank 39 items in the Land of Carnage, it's pretty damn impossible for me to get them as of right now. Even with my highest level thief the chance of success of stealing it is 1%...though that means that theoretically if I try 100 times to steal it then I will succeed atleast once. As for iM@S2 I'm soooo close to getting that Platinum trophy. (=w=)-3 ...also been trying for a Platinum in Rune Factory Oceans/Tides of Destiny. All I've got left to do is fishing...LOTS and LOTS of fishing. orz

Tales of Vesperia again. I've pumped quite a few hours over the last few days into it, but I realized I've made quite a few mistakes in my achievement hunt that I can't reverse. Damn this game's achievements though, seriously.

Replaying Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots [PS3] for earning all of the trophies. I cleared this game 100% long time ago but now I need to start from a scratch again.
Looking at the trophies list, I thought it shouldn't take long since I don't need to earn all of the emblems (especially Big Boss one's), but it turned out that I was wrong. While there's no trophy that requires to collect all of the emblems, there's one that requires to collect all of the iPod soundtracks. And two of them are unlocked by collecting all of the emblems. In other words, I need to repeat the painful process of getting that Big Boss emblem~ orz

I haven't actually been playing many games recently... too busy with finals.
Still playing RIFT on and off while I wait for A Realm Reborn, but I'm wondering if the MMO genre is just screwed and I should give up and use my time more constructively. The six months or so I played TERA pretty much showed me the "future" of MMOs--cash shops, gouging, profit-mongering, developers who don't give any fucks about their playerbase... Basically I've come down to an ultimatum: if FFXIV 2.0 is good, I'll play it and keep an open mind about the MMO industry. If it still sucks like 1.0 did, then I'm just done for good--no more MMOs.

Zone of the Enders HD collection:
Loving it so far, finished the first game in a single sitting and I'm now just starting the second (for the first time) but one thing I've noticed is the difficulty seems pretty steep compared to the first. Still the first game was an awesome nostalgia fest.
