While it's true that a prepubescent girl's breasts are indistinguishable from a boy's, it's still clear that people today consider it to be different. People have grown very uptight about that sort of thing, and will either hesitate to show something that has a small girl's chest exposed or censor it, and yeah people will freak out over a girl being drawn nude even if she's not treated in an even remotely sexual manner.

And it doesn't help that she's being treated to the same transformation as a bunch of girls who are being treated in a sexual manner. Leaving it to just the one time was still acceptable I imagine though. This is technically a magical girl series, and it'd already established that magical girl transformations work that way, so it's kind of expected for it to happen at least once, if only to sort of demonstrate that things work the same for her as they do for everyone else. Once that's established, there's not need for any more.

Her character point isn't to be lewded. She's there to be the straight-man who's sleepy and tired of everyone's shit, while occasionally acting out herself (but as a child would, not as a horndog would).

Kind of sus how some are getting super defensive about various things in the series, though... Like, can you not just enjoy a show without either having to trash fans of other shows, trash <insert random group here>, or acting like a victim?

Anyway as far as the age thing in general -- the genre convention is that magical girls are middle school 2nd years, so... here we are. IMO the ages don't really matter much beyond the initial setting and the character bio, but I'm also not a pedophile or hebephile for that matter. I might have issues with 2D but that's neither here nor there.

Not too surprising, otakus are the ones who buy discs and this show 200% caters to them.

Anyway, this is great news, since this improves chances of a season 2 being greenlit, hopefully with a bigger budget this time! The poor animation is really my only complaint about this show.

I don't complain too much about the animation because IMO it is in a second season where they will need a little extra, at the very least a budget like they gave Chained Soldier.

Also, I hope this news increase the chances of a second season of Interspecies Reviewers, there is a market out there that needs some love!
