Today marks one of those rare times that someone outside the 501st sings the ED theme. In the first season, Yoshika's friend got to join in on a variation of "Bookmark A Head", and now we have a guest star for "Over Sky".

That special guest, Haruka Ookami Hanna, was an interesting character, to say the least. Her obsession with winning means she'd fit right in with Liberion if she wasn't from Karlsland. Lots of great moments sprinkled throughout this episode, from the floor-cracking duel between Hanna and Gertrude to the Neuroi's ship for this week being rather video gamey.

The choreography in Erica and Hanna's dogfight was nice, especially with the orchestral instrumental of the OP playing, but the greatest battle this week was the battle of the breasts. Go Shirley! Nobody won in that bout but Yoshika.

Next week - The Beginning of the End of the Neuori

best part of epi 10 = Hartmann + Marseille

never thought Hanna would come out in the anime. I really want that photo of her lol

So it seems like tug-o-war for Hartmann between Marseille and Barkhorn? never thought that would happen, i thought there was going to be more interaction with Charlotte since she was in Africa before the 2nd season... but that was good since Hartmann got pissed for once and showed some skills

conclusion? Erica + Hanna IS GREAT.

I was kinda annoyed in a way in Marseille's albiet temporary arrival for numerous reasons. Mostly because I was hoping for more Hartmann/Barkhorn backstory. I was also irritated that Minna caved in making it so it wasnt Hartmann and Barkhorn for the Nuroi op. A nice episode, but it definitly needed more Hartmann/Barkhorn.

OMG! They animated Hanna-Justina Marseille and she's voiced by Shizuka Itou!

I hope in the future they show more witches from the SW universe.

Apparently, Lolichini never learned from their first meeting with Hana in Africa..

or Marseille got accustomed to boobs groping already... >.>

Her Familiar is a Steller's Sea Eagle. So far, only Hanna, Heidemarie (the one in my avvy..) and Raisa have birds as their familiar or at least named... iirc, there are other girls with birds as their familiars....

I knew this Witch is going to be full of herself first time i saw the pics of her..
or maybe it's because of her slanty eyes..

I haven't read the Afrika novel/s though.. or the Witches of the Sphinx.. lol

Hanna's also fond of holding her MG-42's bipod. I thought she was doing that for "poster purposes" only.. Her striker unit is also modelled from the BF109F(?) variant.

So it's two episodes to go^ unless this season goes up to 13 or so...

I wonder how AIC's going to wrap this anime up........ >_>

I wonder too. two episodes for a good ending is too short.. the first season took 4 episodes (If I remember correctly)?

AIC seems to be following what they said in the "interview" after all..

This season seems to had been lighter than the previous one.

One epicness was already spent in episode 2...

I'm no longer expecting a "grand ending" for this season.. >>

Yeah, in the novels Hanna uses the Bf109F-4/trop, a special "tropicalized" modification. Not sure about the exact differences from the normal F-4, but I guess it had sand-filters installed, probably had the cooling system tweaked, etc.

Have to agree that 2 episodes are not enough for a really epic ending, and it looks like everything is going to simply end in one blow. Well, at least it's still possible to squeeze in two-three nice air battles...

meh.. I honestly suck at dogfight ACM anyways lolz so my observations could be wrong...

I was looking at Shirley & Trude's (?) comments when Hanna and Erica started the circle fights...

"Chandelle"?? All that Erica did was a Split-S~ She dived down into lower altitude trading it for speed

"Barrel Roll"?? Hanna never did one after Erica did the split-s~

both of them did the barrel roll at the MERGE, not after Hartmann's Split-S

Shirley and Trude, are you sure both of you still know your BFM?

Also the super split second Instantaneous turns and reversals...
All in all, their dogfight seem really rushed...
