The art seems really pretty, so I think I'll definitely check it out when it airs. However, I just can't get rid of that "Zero no Tsukaima?" feeling. ( You know, girls who do magic and a dude wearing a jacket and wielding a sword type of feeling. )

It's based on a Japanese RPG system apparently.
I wonder if the game is gonna ever get released overseas. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Night_Wizard%21 |

It aired and actually, I thought it was a ton of fun. Art was really dodgy in a few places, but I love how they wrote Hiiragi's character... constantly put upon to go fight monsters instead of going to school instead of the normal whiny reluctant hero. The whole thing was a lot more tongue in cheek than I was expecting too, and a lot of it came out very well. Thumbs up from me.

One thumb up! Not my kind of shounen cheese. I'll watch the 2nd episode, but I don't think I'll be compelled enough to continue on. The ending theme is pretty nice.
To answer UPR's question, considering this is a shounen series aimed toward the "kids", there probably won't be a number attached to give an episode count. Like a lot of shounen genre, if it does well among its target audience, (kids) then the show will go on for a while. If not, then.. oh well.

*drools at the OP/ED*
I really liked the fantasy vibe given off from this series ^_^ It even has the smell of F/SN to me for some reason. And so another unsuspecting hero rises - and from the looks of it, it is going to be one heck of an adventure to fill out all of the jewels on that braclet O.O - lol @ the evil loli

I really liked the opening, but the ending was not that great to me. Quote:
Deltora Quest!? Which one? The "bad" one , or the "yes or yes" one. I wasn't planning to watch this, but in the end I did. It wasn't too bad. The comedy was funny and the opening theme was enjoyable (one of the last parts of the opening theme sounded like Nanoha StrikerS's opening theme.........) . Other than that, it still sounds and looks stereotypical. I'll still watch it though. I pray the show doesn't become Shining Tears. Actually, there's no way... I think. Collect the gems and save Deltora the world. ... Hai or Yes?

I don't know, I just listened to the opening and am not finding it remarkable like other people, and in some places I find it downright painful (Idol Singing.....yeah). The openings this season are just not matching up to the Spring and Summer ones. It's like all that progress/recovery in Japanese Music is slowly being reversed. Still, it looks like it's worth a few episodes to try though.

Well, i went in to this without expecting much, and i pretty much got what i expected Pretty much generic shounen cheeZe. The fight against the skeleton army was painful to watch (whole bunch standing in the background while only 1 skeleton attacks at a time ...not to mention they looked retarded). I half expected the girl with the big gun to go "Heave Barrel. Fire!"
The OP and ED was the best thing about this. Well ... decent enough to keep watching. Besides, i need some action fix to balance out all the romance shows i am watching ... though i am not sure about the quality of this particular fix
