Looking for confirmation here. I've heard a bunch of people talk about how Loki was super-powerful. Him being a god, that's pretty obvious. But the reason that neither Vali or Ise could beat him was because they can't use the full power of Ddraig or Albion, right? Because the two heavenly dragons were stronger than God, who was the strongest deity in any mythological system. So if either of them found a way to harness the full, original power of their dragons, they'd be invincible except for each other, Ophus, and GR. Or is that wrong?

Their are the one to watch out. sirzechs is a good maou and devil he is the one that give the chance a ise to save rias. and I'm still think that that time he even try to find out how much Rias mean to Ise and that's why he ask that's way. Plus sirzechs really does like Ise like is little brother. ANd i'm sure he will happy when Ise is back with them.

Yeah i see were you are coming from but every time i try to get to like her character
i keep on remembering the line she says in one of the late volumes.
"You are the choice that my stubborn daughter made" as if ise isn't good enough
that she wouldn't have picked him, the only reason why she didn't get upset is because
her plan failed miserably . And the only reason why she is trying to make ise into a better
man is not because of rias but because he will have to represent the gremory's at important events.
To me she is just a selfish character and the only character i don't like

Oh yeah, people were making a big deal about the Title and how it related to how much time the novel is left. The Title is meant for Ise most likely so the novel has a year and few months left in their time, even if Rias and Akeno graduates, don't you think that overnight Rias will make a University pop out nearby the school. We all know how possessive Rias is of Ise, she will not (By far the most serious tone I have ever made for a character) let Ise out of her sights and the thought of the girls getting close Ise while she is not there will make sure of that. Wouldn't be surprise if she gives Ise a collar with a transportation device for her to go to Ise at anytime and maybe even a GPS.

I just made the sign on Photoshop 20min ago.

She will probable get them to digest aphrodisiacs every night before they go to bed for the sake of her grandchildern.

If you reread the novels it says that their power level rivaled god and that they were able to kill him in battle.

Well both the old maou and god died and we don't know why maybe it could be related to
when ophis left her dimension while gr was free and he decided to kill them both, or it could
be that they died in the albion vs ddraig conflict ho knows since there's no evidence for neither
i'm just theorizing on how god and old maou could have died. I'm also curious as to how ise got a griffon as a familiar.

the griffon your talking about i believe belongs to Sirzechs. Ise used it once or twice but i don't think it's his

I think Ddraig and Albion are stronger than Gods if the leaders of the three factions had to team up to defeat them.Not really, even if God could take down one Heavenly Dragon by himself, it would be poor strategy to exhaust himself when there are two other hostile factions. The safest way is to make a temporary alliance to eliminate the troublesome dragons together, so none of the 3 factions can get backstabbed in the process. After all, they are not trying to prove their strength against the dragons but are simply eliminating a nuisance while minimizing their own losses. Trying to take down an equal opponent by yourself is the same as gambling on 50%. If you want something done properly, then you tip the scale to make success as likely as possible.
no ideia if someone theorized this or not.. but i dont think it would be that big of a stretch or even too wierd that the next time ophis appeared she would have changed too "hot teenager" form.. just cause she thought ise would like it (cause she saw rias, akeno etc and in her naivety thought to look alike :P )I think you watched too much Nisemonogatari.

Vritra or saji's fire can't absorb but can seal.....the absortion line is the one absorb the powerIn the fight against Loki the black flames did absorb power in addition to sealing. I think in that state, the awakened Vritra could use a combination of his techniques through the flames.
If i think about:
Vritra(Dragon King sealed in Saji SG) and Saji in Dragon Form...Put a good fireshow in battle against Loki.
So Fire can absorb power?hmmmm....

Don't worry about it too much, pretty much everyone expected the anime wouldn't be as good as the Light Novel. If they put even 10% of the erotic stuff from the Light Novel to the anime a lot of people would be dying of a nosebleed. In terms of his epic moments Oppai fairy is definitely in my number 1 spot, in terms of his epic lines.

1. Love confession to Rias in v.10
2. "Rias Gremory's virginity belongs to me" v.2
3. The line he says right before he sends Reynalle flying (about his pain being nothing compared to Asia's)

Well I was joking about the 300 Ophis, but yeah I can really see your point. I can very much picture when all said in done with Ise saving the Underworld Ophis will pretty much will try to cuddle with Ise every chance she gets. Hahaha well its going to be even a more exciting school life for Ise. I'm sorry but that's totally not true akeno loves ise as much as all of the other girls but unlike rias
and everyone else she is super insecure and fragile as stated in the ln, Most of the time she tries
to put a front. If you haven't realized it the only reason why she acts perverted is to accommodate
ise's desires so that he will like her more. there's multiple occasions where you can see that she truly loves ise.
Everyone knows that ise used to hate fallen angels, and she is one, that's why at the beginning when she
asked him whether he hates fallen angels(probably thinking that what raynalle did traumatized him)
she is extremely happy when he says that he does but he likes akeno and then later on when she becomes desperate
thinking that by sleeping with the person she loves she will get better he stops her because he also loves her and doesn't
want her to get hurt also have you realized how many times ise gets jealous of how popular akeno is with the boys
and she has to reassure him everytime. Multiple times throughout the story it's stated that akeno has a sad
expression whenever it is rias that helps him through her breasts or whatever but it's not her.
And in volume 11 she is one of the for people that receive the most pain when they hear of ise's possible
death by the way she reacts(along with asia,rias,and koneko).
All you need to do is look for evidence and you see that she loves him alot and she just dosen't want
to have an affairs which she states jokingly.

From Rias's team in terms of strongest to weakest at the moment it goes something like this
Ise>Kiba>Akeno>Rossweisse>Zenovia>Rias>Koneko>Gasper>Asia
How's akeno the weakest member when she is the queen? which is the 2nd most important
chess piece. you might be saying that because she has been defeated multiple times but she
has done alot more than most other team members. Gasper and Asia are mainly support.
Once koneko learns how to fight using time/space she'll be as strong as kiba if not stronger.
the only person that is never seen fighting or is too weak to put a front is rias, she might have
special powers but the only reason why she has advanced so far is because of ise. ross is the
same as akeno while zenovia is like an unrefined kiba.

Barakiel is famous for having the highest damage output out of all the fallen angels. He is one of the strongest fallen angels.

However, there is the caveat that holy lightning can be blocked if the opponent has anti-lightning properties or good anti-magic skills. I'm quite sure Barakiel has good physical combat skills as well to match his position. In the fights against Loki, I suppose he had to hang back and attack from a distance because 1) he is chief bodyguard and has to stick close to Odin for the first encounter and 2) he was taking more of a leadership and coordinating role in the second.

As for Akeno, though lightning may be her signature, it's been often stated that she has good magic potential in general (top amongst the Gremory servants). This can be seen from the diverse array of other magic she uses. Given her potential, there's no reason she cannot augment her skills by learning Norse magic like Vali. Given that Sirzechs is a caster type, there's no reason someone with good magic potential cannot reach Maou level without resorting to Sacred Gears or holy swords.

Sirzechs/Rias cannot be compared to normal mages like Akeno. Remember they have their own Clan traits, Power of Destruction. That special ability already elevates them to a whole new Tier of mages.

Whereas Akeno has no signature special traits/abilities. Her spells are common and useable by many. In other words she has nothing special, basically a plain soldier in a sense.

But!

Learning various elemental magics is a good one, like you mentioned. Even if one is weak, if they have more utility by learning more skills, it will definitely make up for the lack of strength. Being a Jack of all Trades is one way...

I just hope author does something about her...

Haha, yes she has lightning and light powers but what im trying to convey is those 2 powers are nothing special, every mage class can be proficient in lightning, every angel and fallen angel class can be proficient in light. In other words her spells are essentially mass produced weaponry. Even if she be proficient in both, theres no merit since its a common ability.

You cannot mass produce sacred gears, you dont find 1000 people with Boosted Gear, you dont find 1000 people with Power of Destruction.

Just because an ability is common doesn't mean you can't master it better than others.
Unless you want to say that Azazel is weak using plain old light until he developed the artificial Sacred Gear recently.

Everything boils down to mastering what you have.

Simple as Sairaorg -- he had nothing but his body so he trained his body to insane levels and beat his half-brother despite the power of destruction.
Something as common as a body, which everyone has.

As the author said in one of the afterwords, this is a story where hard work pays off.

As much as I hate to say it, some people here do have a point retaining to Akeno being the weakest member. Sure in terms of potential, she does seem to lack skills in what other queens seem to show and has only used magic. All in all, it seems as though she is unworthy of being a queen and should simply be a bishop, since all we've seen from her is magic and the capability of withstanding high-output damage.

All I'm saying is that she needs room to shine, without Issei around it's clear more responsibility is put onto her shoulders, before it seemed as though Issei took her role. Being a huge fan of hers, I'd say I'm somewhat disappointed in most of her battles thus far, hopefully it'll change!

The way i see its going now, the author is going the "Akeno masters her lightning and light magic" route as an excuse for power up, which technically is not that logical to the plot's concept since more powerful enemies are appearing, even Azazel has started depending on artificial gears. Not to play devil's advocate, but it's clear she wasn't trying.
She was only dragging on her fight with Akeno, knowing she would use cowardly tactics to win.
Thus far, the only reason Akeno seems to be strong, is when she goes S-Mode.
No other character has shown another personality like this.

Hopefully, with the split change in personality, we can see some real differences to why
she's the highly acclaimed Queen Buchou has.

To reiterate, Akeno hasn't shown promise as a queen.
Comparing her to another such as Grayfia (One who rivals a Maou) it's incomparable.
It would be nice if Akeno gained strenth aside from her elemental affinity.

Honestly all gremory group can be really strong and what happen now will give them a huge wake up call. They already want become more strong because of ise but now that they know that Ise can die they will train even more to make sure nothing like this happen again.

Anyone can become stronger and Akeno is no exception. Akeno may have common skills like other devils, she has Holy Lightning which she haven't fully mastered yet. When she finally master Holy Lightning she may put her training with trying to compose Holy Lighting in a weapon (Well since someone pointed out she's a sadist, a whip will do). Overall it is pointless now to figure out the who's ranks over power in the Gremory team. As in now in vol 11, everyone started training and I am pretty sure Akeno will become more powerful maybe 2nd or 3rd because I doubt her father will just teach her Holy Lightning.

I really wanted more development out of the Dragon Arm as well. It should have more propose than being immune to Holy attacks or being a weakness against Samuel. We've seen Holy Swords and Demonic Swords. Those Swords got their power properties somewhere (Holy Swords made from Angels and Demonic Swords made from Devils), so why not a Dragon Sword for Ise. Like instead of Akeno and Rias sucking out the power of the arm so Ise can have a normal human one why not gather the Dragon energy and place it into a Sword?

Souna's way of talking to Ise can be generally seen as love or just admiration. We won't know yet, unless later in vol 12 or other volumes to confirm that Souna does have feelings for him or not. When I think about it, we have a love polygamy for Ise within the Gremory team and two outside (Ravel and Irina), why not the author add a Childhood friend Rivilary for Ise? Again Soji its just a suggestion for author to add another member to the harem and it could be quite entertaining, leave the Battle Ax there.

This is for two reasons.

1.) He doesn't take women belonging to other guys. Raiser was an exception. Raiser got smacked down because he was treating Rias VERY badly, and Rias obviously did not want to be with him.

2.) Saji's his friend, and he greatly respects Saji's hopes and dreams.

The wording is ambiguous though, and Sona may be saying she likes someone LIKE Issei, as opposed to Issei himself. The Ln really doesn't need the drama of two good friends dueling over Sona like this. Issei has more than enough rivals right now.

would justify a sona x saji, i'm just implying that we might see something between
ise and sona. Saji's love has been unrequited so far and sona is pretty smart,

I'm pretty sure they will attract alot of attention on their date no matter where they are, girls with crimson hair and huge bust aren't very common. Difference between underworld and human world is underworld they will attract the media, and human world Ise will just get alot of people giving him death glares (and MAYBE the occasional thug that thinks he's better than Ise trying to hit on Rias).

Also, I think I figured out why Rias is unsurpassable for me in my#1 spot, the first girl that ever confessed to me (through a love letter no less) was a red head with a fair bust, but I was like Ise and I felt inferior and not good enough for her (this was like 6yrs ago) and never replied to her (my biggest regret to date).
