BTW, Shukumei's form is a ring finger. I checked and you can see Shukumei in the Tears of Karma book being worn by Myuugi. Euphie's upgraded form? that's a mix of a serafuku top and altered old design for the bottom plus a slender and simple but elegant tuning fork sword is in the LE books and she looks perfect, like a Goddess that descends upon the cosmos who's going to fix all the mess perfect. The new butchered design just sucks so much by comparison. Also, I thought I remember seeing a really cool awakened form of loli Myuugi in one of the books, but I guess not unless I skipped a page somewhere.

That aside, can't say I'm in love with the new designs. Euphoria is okay, Myuugi is a lot more...colourful then I expected. Also getting some scary Bernkastel vibes from those face samples. Temuorin's doesn't exactly sit well with me either, though I can't put my finger exactly on why. Maybe I just need some time to get used to it.

Not sure how I feel about it since she's a silly genki baka (might be her original nature rather than result of memory loss?), but has an aura of being knowledgeable and audacious when it matters. Her shinken is a pen brush and it's more or less exactly the same minus minor tweaks. As her designation suggests, she's very old, one of the most ancient Eternals. She's an outsider and observer that observes cosmic events via her ability to predict things on a multi-dimensional scale, and if I'm not mistaken she took interest in Euphoria due to the enigmatic destiny/fate surrounding her. Something happened and she lost her memories after transferring to Agasutia? That place is a troublesome death trap for Eternals (lol).

Where the heck do I get Immortal Will, trying to be Et Ca Repha on normal mode and I can't see if name breaker is causing her to lose mana or not.

She keeps spamming her healing, and I run out of name breaker before she runs out of heals.

Nozomu is level 30, so I'm sort of at a loss as to what to do here.

Edit, okay, so I see by a vid that I need a full party, but again, I don't recall seeing Ruptana's Rampage Blue as one of the skill choices.

Also I thought I was on Satsuki's route, as Nozomu "went all the way" with her and she announced their engagement the next day, but I'm not sure there was a Satsuki mission as per some of the guides I've looked at.

And I just got it on the Satsuki route!

No clue how I did it, just switched the slots around trying different attacks, and Satsuki deals a massive load of damage to Et Ca R, when disintegrate finally hit and did damage. I lost both Satsuki and Nozomi but finished her off with Name breaker and got the Satsuki mission and immortal will, Yaga was a breeze compared to Et Ca R.

Well now I can do the other routes on normal I think, and then I will brave hard mode.

Pretty interesting choice to only put up the supporters pack like 3 months after the pre-order was up. I'd consider it if I hadn't already spent ~$100 on it. The shirt looks cool, but I'm not spending another $200 just for a shirt.

The event sounds interesting, and is actually...not TOO far from where I live, but ANOTHER 6600 yen for an event in 6 months that I'm not sure I'll be able to go to? Seems a bit steep.

BTW, am I right in thinking that the music team for Takase's current Shinken is different from the old Aselia/Seinarukana days? The old music is better IMO.

So the book came in today, and aside from a (somewhat amusing) glaringly obvious misprint, it looks pretty nice.

More importantly though, everything came on one disc which was a DVD, so my laptop's degenerate disc drive was actually capable of reading it. And I can see why they decided to put it on a DVD, since each of the (26) song files is between 120 and 190 MB each...to say nothing of the actual Drama.

There are 11 base tracks, of which 3 or 4 are repeats of previously released songs. Then there are four bonus solo versions of the first track (Spectre), and then what looks like instrumental versions of the 11 base tracks.

The Drama is 205~ minutes long in three parts and includes 15 minutes of commentaries from four of the main cast (Euphie, Myuugi, Hijiri, Berina). Haven't listened to any of it yet, so can't say much beyond that.

The book itself has about 24 pages of new character material in the style of the Spirits Guide in promised full colour (just...don't look too closely at page 24), followed by about 10 pages of song lyrics, and finishes with 6 pages of exposition about the drama. The book is bound into a hardcover case along with the CD, which is a little awkward but does make the package as a whole very neat and compact.

All in all it looks very nice, and with the number of times they've made sure to plaster "Volume 1" everywhere, I think it's safe to say we should expect a volume 2 to come out in the future.

Failing to gain the upper hand despite having gathered so much Mana, it wasn't unexpected that the frantic Law Eternals were about to commence their assault.

And then, when that was about to occur, all the Law Eternals besides Bobo, Temuorin, Iyaga and their underlings were obliterated from existence by Myugi.

The accumulated Mana had additionally, boosted Shukumei.

However, Myugi was terrified by this monstrous power and she crushed her own emotions.

Myugi became someone who feels and thinks nothing, and Shukumei, who understood that it was the cause of this, sank down into sorrow and grief.

It vowed to forever protect Myugi until the day she woke again.

Shukumei's defence is such that anything that bears even the slightest hostility or ill-will towards Myugi is instantly erased from existence.

For that reason, only Tokuo can approach her.

Once more, Temuorin and followers scheme to eliminate Myugi, but they will be wiped out by Shukumei without appropriate preparation.
By the way, I become ecstatic every time I hear Maruka say SASUGA Temuorin.

There seems to be four basic card types:
-Character Cards (19 cards)
-Destiny Cards （宿命）(20 cards)
-Fate Cards　（運命）(28 cards)
-Shinken Cards (36 cards)

The character cards are basically what you'd expect, you have characters that have either passive (blue) or active (red) abilities. They also incur a varying penalty (?) when they die...however that is supposed to happen. These penalties come in various forms, from subtracting "salvation points" (救世点), to giving more Shinken, to glorious little Euphoria who ends the game when she dies. There doesn't appear to be any cost to put them in play though.

The large card there (Aselia) reads "Tap to give all your Shinken cards Blue +3. On death, Shinken +2."


Destiny cards (orange cards with the chained white back, just under Aselia) have two parts: the top part is the effect and the bottom part are the "clear conditions" and clear reward. The reward comes in the form of positive or negative "salvation points" (救世点), which seem to be related to win conditions?

The large card example here is "Hostile Presence," which has the text "When you open this card, if you have cleared at least 3 Fate cards, draw and open 1 Fate card. Immediately tap it. It becomes a Universal Danger." "Clear Conditions: Last until the end of the turn. Salvation Points +3."


Fate cards (dark cards with the black backs) have a whole whack of things on them. There's Fate Strength, which is the big coloured number. Under that is the unique effect of the card, and under that are two numbers: the left of which is a "Fate Invasion Count" (????) and right is once again a Salvation Point modifier.

The large card example here is "Battle With Radiance." It has a Fate Strength of 30 (which seems unreasonably high), and its effect is "When this card is put into play, it immediately becomes a Universal Danger. Everyone must play at least one Shinken with a number value, or else this card cannot be cleared." It's Invasion Count is 0 and it gives +7 Salvation.


Finally we have at the bottom the Shinken cards, with the yellowish orange front and back. These are fairly straightforward, with a name at the top, a number in the middle, and optionally an effect at the bottom. Some of them have no effect and some of them have no number.

The large example here is "Rank 1: Fate," with a seemingly colossal value of 25 (comparing to the three examples left of it being Eternity, Prophecy, and Rebirth - all Rank 2 or 3 - having a value of 6). In exchange, its effect is "At the end of the turn, your character dies."



So you can let your brains munch on what all those random jargon will translate into as game effects. Obviously the translations I've thrown up are just on the fly work, once we have actual rules I'll probably be able to make them a bit more coherent.

Also, out of the 19 character cards, 9 are in the picture above and three more (Narukana, Yuuto, and the white-haired Myuugi) have all been shown, leaving 7 characters unaccounted for. Would you like to get your guesses in as to who they may be?

I WANT. 19 character cards are not enough. I hope they will release expansion packs. It seems like a pretty interesting rule and setup. Not a conventional HP/player life , but more like chipping away at mana/fate/destiny to remove or kill. That's pretty fitting considering the setting.

The other confirmed cards that aren't there are Rogas, Raguranju, Maruka, and Arjiner. And I'm sure Hiziri will be included since all the other Eternals in the drama CDs got a card. That leaves 2 character cards unaccounted. Well, since Maruka is there, then のリーン will most likely be as well. Who wants to guess the last card?

Yeah it almost looks like it'll be more cooperative than competitive, what with multiple players working together to beat each Fate card and the existence of a "discussion phase" mentioned on a few of the cards.

As for the last character, I would have guessed Tokimi, but I'm not confident they'd put both her and Hijiri in. And obviously with 36 Shinken to 19 characters, we can't guess based on the Shinken examples shown (which would lead to Tokimi, Orpha, and...whoever the wielder of Setsuna is).　It could also be one of the Etrangers, since we have a Fate card called "Battle of the Etrangers" and a Destiny Card called "Hero from Another World," which might be odd if Reina is our only Etranger in the game. I mean, I guess we have Yuuto, but does that really count if it's the Eternal version?

From the way it's set up, I'm not confident it's going to be a TCG. I suspect the preorder pack has one set of all the cards, and that's basically what you use to play the game, but again without knowing the rules its hard to say.

But could you imagine a TCG where each player needs to bring four decks? It would certainly be something lol.

We had another test play of the Eien Shinken Card Game. It's a cooperative game of working together to destroy the fate the universe has planned. A lot of the details of the Eien Shinken universe have been worked into the game itself.

Only a little more until it's finished. We're doing our best!


It seems that as I predicted, its not going to be a CCG/TCG at all, but rather more like a board game. This post also came with a screenshot of some more cards, including Hijiri and Riin (Reen? Rin? リーン? However we're going to romanize her name), cutting the mystery down to 2 characters unaccounted for if I'm counting correctly. (Aselia, Euphoria, Myuugi, Myuugi 2, Temuorin, Reina, Maruka, Riin, Yuyu, Berina, Furera, Yuuto, Narukana, Hijiri, Lagrange, Rogas, Arjina, ?, ?)


We also have a series of interesting tweets of Omolabo (the company actually producing the game) which give us a small number of details about the game. Translations as follows, matching the terms to my last translation post.

Character Cards
The group of cards that represents the players. Some are too strong, some are too weak, and some can get you deadlocked if played into the wrong situation.

Destiny Cards
Every turn you attach one to your character card. They are something like a curse.
They are cards played by combining them with your Character cards.

Circular Construction: At the beginning of the turn, each player selects one Shinken card and passes it to the player on their left. Clear condition: When a player does not have a card to pass. When cleared: -1 Salvation.

Samurai Space-time: This turn, all players must end their sentences with "gozaru." Clear conditions: When you use "gozaru" perfectly. When cleared: +2 Salvation.
(this is a super old fashioned way of speaking. If you know any Japanese, you can think of it like an old fashioned way of saying "desu." If you don't know any Japanese, its basically like an old-fashioned version of "is/are" etc. I'm not an expert on old Japanese though, so its probably more nuanced than that.)

Moment of Transmigration: At the beginning of the turn, each player passes one random Shinken card to the player on their right. Clear conditions: When a player doesn't have a card to pass. When cleared: Salvation +1.

Dragon's Blood: When 3 or more Fate cards are put in play, draw 2 Shinken cards. Clear conditions: clear 5 or more Fate cards. When cleared: Salvation -1.

Reversal Chance: When this card opens, if there are any Universal Dangers in play, select one of them. Untap it. It is no longer a Universal Danger. Clear conditions: This card's effect is not activated. When cleared: Salvation +1.

Within the Darkness: When you are in combat, you must choose which Shinken card to play randomly. Clear conditions: Successfully clear a Fate card that you participated in. When cleared: Salvation +2.

These are the cards in the players' hands.
Using the numbers and effects written on them, you fight against the Fate cards!

It's a simple game, where players play their Shinken cards to deal with whatever Fate cards come into play. However, the players are limited by their Character Cards and their Destiny cards. The game develops rather differently every time you play, giving it a thrilling feel.

Right now Mr. Takase is playing it over and over, testing and changing things for balance.

Whether you can clear the obstacle or will be wiped out by it becomes clear rather quickly, so you can play at a rather high pace or slow down and take your time.

We'll have no problems shipping it out in June, so please wait just a little longer!


Now we just have to hope that an official release comes fairly quickly after they ship out to all the preorders. I don't see why they wouldn't do it at the same time, but you never know I guess.

Some of the these cards are legit game-breaking and just overpowered lol. But I suppose that's half the fun in dealing with with literal universe ending threats that everyone has to deal with. I must wonder how a player vs player card game under Eien Shinken system would look like.

So final wrap up details are being made for shipping out the card game to the people who preordered it. The primary public release looks like its going to be at C94, so I guess we'll be waiting until then to get our hands on it anyways. I haven't seen any mention of a way to get it besides literally walking to Comiket, but hopefully we'll see some sort of web purchase option after the initial sale.

Exactly....Playing the old Eien Shinken stuff, one gets an older JRPG feel as opposed to the current idol-anime like designs. However, Hitomaru is Xuse no? I don't see much chance of him jumping ship unfortunately

Hitomaru is a Xuse staff member. Nearly all artworks at Naofumi's pixiv and every setting book except High Res were drawn by Hitomaru. Of course those works are considered doujin, so it would be fine for Hitomaru to collaborate freely. High Res was the first time New Testament was commercialized, so that might be why they had to get another character designer. But Xuse seemingly gave Naofumi their blessing in 2016 when they were promoting EnA's Premium SE along side New Testament, so I can't see why there could be a legal problem. In addition, Hitomaru was credited as the character designer on Everlasting's website that's still up (http://aselia.everlasting-corp.co.jp/) and with Xuse's copyright being listed.

Let's hope Hitomaru can be employed now that the copyrights to Aselia and Seinarukana will supposedly be given to Naofumi.

Got Song Collection 6 today. The drama CD is short this time, but it essentially an epilogue to the story that transpired on the world of Agasutia. It's been awhile, huh. So 2019 is supposed to be a big year for Euphoria who should be the heroine of the next main title, and also for the series in general. Naofumi acknowledged that story content have been stagnant, and so he's focusing on writing original stories and world-building to get the whole story moving forward to the next step this year. That aside, this thing about Naofumi wanting to try a 3D dungeon RPG has me worried unless the 3D is comparable to HI3.

As for progress, I'll be happy with at least considerable development on the Eternal War front. These small-scale stories with sentimental and anecdotal touches are nice, but it's about due time for the larger pieces to come together to form the overarching climax already.

Ah, either Temuorin is really good at hiding it, or really don't have a clue about Euphie's secret. She has her suspicions though. Plus, with the way she drops hints like how actors have gathered, it feels like just another keikaku doori for her even if she doesn't know. Maybe it's 'cause Temuorin wasn't fleshed out in the first game, but I'm really loving her character being written in grey shade rather than just good vs evil/black vs white. She's still a Law Eternal, but she's not above lending a hand and playing the role of the good guys and just having fun in the meantime as long as it's all according to plan of course.

Eh, Law Eternal doesn't automatically mean "bad" actually. It's just that in Aselia, Temuorin was pretty flat out malicious. It's only with the release of post-Seinarukana data books and stuff that the whole Tokimi vs Temuorin conflict was fleshed out and Temuorin became much more grey.

It's good that not all Law Eternals are going to be stereotypical evil. I'm sure many of them have their own reasons, ideals, or form of justice to be Law Eternals. It's much more interesting that way.

Myu can't be a contrast 'cause she's so pure and innocent, not to mention a good child! Myugii is a wild card. Most likely a residue piece from before she fell into darkness subconsciously created fragmented Myus in the hope to kill and consume each other's mana in order to obtain enough power to release Myugii from a tragic destiny by killing her. Aside from that, who knows what Myugii under Shukumei's influence is up to (probably won't be good for the multi-verse).

Cute girls doing cute girls and all-girls cast is a strong trend right now, so it can't be helped. I have no complaints as long as Aselia style of fantasy and action are in accompany. Naofumi remembered Rogas, Seii, and Naruakana, and Mikage and Third Destination hasn't been ruled out AFAIK, so I think it's safe to say all the other Eternals that have been created already will show up sooner or later.

When you put it that way, you're right. Myugii's role would be perfect for a dark mahou shoujo heroine. Myu Fanan not so much, though. But I can't foresee Myugii going on adventures with Euphoria. It'd be too much of a cheat lol. I'm not fond of Shun myself, but it may be possible to flesh him out and give him characterization to show there's a glimmer of goodness left inside of him. He can go through a healing episode while recovering his strength in a world where people took him in and nursed him, healing his heart little by little. But he's an antagonist, so he can't linger in peace forever. A tragic incident has to occur to rob him of harmony in order to make him snap and let Seikai's compulsion overwhelm him. It's enough to establish there's hope so that he may make the right choice in the future that will aid in shaping the outcome of Law and Chao's war.

Isn't Amphonse pretty much annihilated? There's only a tiny piece of her that remains inside Unmei as a one-time use. Rogas has yet to unsheathe Unmei after all of this time for that very reason, surely. You're referring to the book that came with the premium edition of Aselia, right? Is it just a coincidence that Amphonse looks just like Euphoria, or isthat Euphoria in the future once she has awakened and inherent Amphonse's will? I've been wondering about that.

It'd be bad news if it's gone as then there would be be nothing to keep either Eigou or Setsuna in check. Eigou is asleep and waiting inside of Aselie'a Eien, too.

In that case, I think Euphoria is Amphonse's reincarnation. It's impossible for Eternals to undergo change (Aselia getting pregnant), much less age with the passage of time, but Euphoria's existence defies it. Definitely not a coincidence why Rogas is not surprised and how he seemingly acts like he's been waiting for someone to inherent Amphonse's will.

So about the 1st Sword script. If that's to be the script for the sequel of Seinarukana, then it won't be finale some might expect. It can't be as the main setting is Agasutia and part 1 was completed not long ago. Part 2 is currently under way. After Disupia's coup d'etat was thwarted, Orerua experienced a brief reconstruction phase, but peace did not last because a military invasion carried out by エルターグル, a hostile neighboring superpower country was initiated. This was the country that's responsible for killing vast majority of Orerua's Spirits in on-going skirmishes thus greatly weakened Orerua's military force, which is how Disupia's coup d'etat over the royal family was possible in the first place. This premise is just the start as part 2 supposedly has a great war that consumes the whole continent, so all seven countries living in Agasutia are going to be involved. I fully expect each country to have their own number of Etrangers, armies of Spirits, and to see more Eternals being drawn to the world Euphoria and co. reside in.

The unidentified being that attacked Aselia and pushed her into partial awakening isn't an Eternal or anything known to Eternals. It's a being of higher existence and is stronger than someone like Aselia who can match Eternals of rank 2 shinken at base form. Whatever it is, it targeted Aselia specifically and it smiled happily upon witnessing Aselia's transformation and then disappeared. Setsuna's avatar is possible, but from what I understand Setsuna is in a contract with Shun. Then again, it's not like Setsuna can't have an avatar or other agents to carry out independent schemes.

Seii is a Naru being from Setsuna's universe so technically she's in opposition to those from Eigou's. But she's an independent who seemingly cares about the safety of mana universes thus she eliminates anything she perceives as dangerous or will bring harm to them. She's relentless and merciless in her endeavors.

So what roles are Miyuki and Yuuhi beyond the latter just being the one who would originally have Euphoria's Japanese name? Or is the latter really just Euphoria?
Don't know yet, but I do think they are Euphoria and Myugii. If the chart is anything to go by, they're connected clues to how the two of them became friends, I'm guessing.

I'm going to say it. I don't like Kouri Arisa's role as Temuorin's new voice. They tried to find a close match to Yurika's voice, but Arisa, while sorta similar, can't really pull off a deeper regal voice while still sounding cute. Arisa's pitch is simply too high for my taste.

Nothing concrete AFAIK. Just that Naofumi is still working on development by way of crowdfunding. I think development is split between Nanato and the Promised Knights and Euphoria's story, so it's taking time. Plus, he needed to look for people to expand his team that started with 6 members (iirc), so there was that too.

Speaking of Nanato, I seriously cannot find scans or place to obtain it anywhere. Feels sad.

Yeah, the GrandBeast Tamers War was released several years ago. That story takes place not long after the war came to an end in EnA. Another part of Temuorin's plan, or rather a backup plan that was set since ancient times was triggered when Eternals became unable to enter the world where Phantasmagoria resided in due to the seal Youtia helped devised. While the world is protected against invading Eternals for a few thousand years, normal summons by 4th and 5th shinkens can pass through. And a backdoor of Law Eternals' machination deep within Son Rim's ruins exists that allows null mana to flow in.

I can put up with Euphoria, Myuu, and Temu's new design, but the others simply not easy on the eyes, imo. Since it's a teaser at the concept level, I wonder if and hope designs can undergo alterations if enough voices are heard to warrant appropriate changes. I guess we'll see.

Crowdfunding. The CF site is up (https://sites.google.com/view/euphoriacf/), but it's incomplete. I assume backerkits equivalence will be available in due time, though. On a similar note, a digital copy of C87's Spirit Guide will be released soon at fanbox for supporters (minimum 1100 yen).

As far as I know, only the premium special edition of Aselia supports Windows 10. For Seinarukana's DL special edition, I've seen some say it works, and others say it doesn't. I haven't tried it myself, so I can't say.

That's the thing, Myuugi Fanan is a smaller form/fragment of Myuugi of Destiny whose appearance comparable to an upper teen. Even though Euphoria physically appearance should be a kid too, I'm not even sure if she is one with her redesign. Instead, she seemingly looks like a lower to mid teen now. And if Myuugi Fanan is taller than her now, well....

That won't work out too well and besides I remember the 小島大和 one wasn't exactly beloved (at least here).

Myugi: I agree the new 犬江しんすけ one is uninspired next to the other ones, but at least it's competent and I can buy that being a teen. Also, while 小島大和's looks good as a key visual or light novel art, I suspect those feathers won't be such a good match if you look at her face on (the primary visual novel angle), and the feathers are so prominent I can't estimate what she'll look like without them. Unsafe. Moving on.

Hiziri: These stern-eyed types aren't my favorite. The new 犬江しんすけ version seems more mature and the other two are more teenage. This may reflect changes in intended characterization, and if we are going for the mature miko type then the new one fits the personality better, though none are fails.

Fanan's physical age is never stated AFAIK. Also Hitomaru's and Kojima's designs aren't that different minus the feathers TBH. For comparison, Shukumei Myuugi is shown in the vid before the new designs appear. Fanan is just a fragment of her

I actually don't mind 小島大和 over 犬江しんすけ for Euphoria if it meant choosing between the former and the latter. 人丸's will always be best for me for several reasons, with the top reasons being it's easy on the eyes, is practical (aura makes armor is a minor factor), and unique with Rakios aesthetics and serves to parallel Myuugi's design that also has a Rakios-esque design. 犬江しんすけ's versions like it's trying to get the Saber appeal crowd thus comes off generic.

As alluded, I believe there's intention parallelism between Euphoria's and Myuugi's design that likely comes from Myuugi's subconscious desire to be with Euphoria (...apart from denying her own existence and existential destruction/suffering of all things) . Which would explain why her fragments are lolis, the Rakios-ish attires, wings that contrast Euphoria. On top of that, Myuugi created a miniture garden Time Tree where Agastia resides in, and its setting and Spirits are similar to Phantasmagoria's either. I don't think that's a coincidence. Anyways, I cannot believe 犬江しんすけ got rid of the cute hat!

Before she became an Eternal, the Kurahashi clan tasked Hiziri with a mission when she was 15 years old. Then when she returned to her village, tragedy struck her imouto. Not sure how long she was away for, but it couldn't have been long if her imouto is still a young girl. For me, 人丸's design is cute, vibrant, youthful but with a mature, dutiful, and elegant air about her. Both 小島大和 and 犬江しんすけ aren't as graceful nor as cute, and are a bit too mature.

Raguranju: 人丸's looks bland and doesn't make me think of the klutzy personality suggested in the description. 小島大和's is really pushing that klutzy angle but again seems to work better as a Key Visual than a Visual Novel. The new 犬江しんすけ is flexible and so can work with the noted personality.
While Raguranju right now is ditz right now due to external circumstances, she's one of the oldest living Eternals and is a vault of wisdom and knowledge. I don't think her persona is supposed to entirely klutzy, which is what 犬江しんすけ seemingly aimed for. 人丸's is more reserved on that front and is less exaggerated, but it's not without airhead potential as seen concept art of her facial expressions. One thing that bothers me most is how 小島大和 did away with her white and red color schemes. The poncho redesign is very bland too.

Temuorin generally has about the same design throughout, but there's subtle difference. Mainly, it comes down to finer details that add idiosyncrasies to stand out, and 人丸 is best at that.

For Reina, I actually do think 小島大和 is best. Reina is an otaku girl from a world likes ours that's from the near future, and 小島大和 reflects that best. But 犬江しんすけ's Reina feels off-based and her color scheme that mesh well with the others is gone.

I won't say 犬江しんすけ is a failure as a character designer, but given past designs, 人丸 and 小島大和 are a lot better by comparison. 人丸 simply has a huge advantage, given he's worked with the series for a long time and knows the setting and characters second best after Naofumi. Fantasy is his forte too if judging by art portfolio. But for causal or new fans just entering, 犬江しんすけ may be serviceable...to say the least.

Well damn...given that Seinarukana was loads of fun and play time, that's just sad. Was there not enough sales of Seinarukana or was it that what came after didn't sell?

I have yet to come across information that disclosed why Xuse had serious financial troubles in 2017, but it's likely due to the closing of Club Xuse in 2016 plus poor sales of their other games that was developed around that time. It's just strange...according to Naofumi, the supporter packs for the Yuukyuu no Euphoria's High Content book sold very well, better than what they expected even, so where did the money that went into that go? Well, probably to pay off debt Xuse owed, I suppose.

Speaking of Yumina, Naofumi said that Euphoria will appeal to both Eternal Sword and Kikouyoku Senki fans. He may or may not have suggested that the two verse are connected.

I saw some JP joking around that one of the boss character in Yumina was an eternal back then.. I think it was around 5-10 years ago? I forgot lol

Does Naofumi have permission to combine both series though? I forgot which developers made which one since it's really been a while :heh:

As far as I know, it's not confirmed to be an Eternal, but you're thinking of Amureis, who isn't a boss character that you fight, but she's an ally, a being whose existence is something like a law/rule in the higher dimension. She's likely an allusion to Euphoria, given the similarities in her design and acting as an arbitrator protecting universes against invasive sentient universes. It's implied she's strong enough to fight and defeat sentient universes on her own, even as powerful as the final boss in Yumina, if she's granted the power to do so via authorization.

I don't think Naofumi has confirmed or denied whether Yumina could be one of the universes outside the Shinken Universe or possibly a universe within it. I doubt he can include Yumina or make it related to Eien Shinken. If I'm not mistaken, the Kikouyoku Senki series IP belongs to Eternal, a subsidiary of WillPlus.

I thought Xuse died a long time ago? And Naofumi basically got full IP rights from them for some time now? Also isn't Naofumi independent from Xuse?

No, Xuse went down on 2021. Naofumi was still supported by them.
But Xuse hadn't been doing well since 2017, so this put Naofumi in huge disadvantage.

Yeah, unless I'm mistaken....basically, Naofumi began releasing Aselia doujin + and later doujin music and drama cd (Spirits Guides and Song Collection) with Hitomaru in 2013. Naofumi formed Everlasting and entered a co-op relationship with Xuse in an official capacity, using Spirit Guide 3's scenario as a basis to essentially reboot Aselia, to start on projects that would lead to the third chapter of Eien Shinken sometime in 2015. Interestingly, the website that was supposed to their project together is still up! (https://aselia.everlasting-corp.co.jp/) Naofumi continued to create doujin that would serve as the foundation till late 2016 (e.g. Never Despair (http://euphoria-prototype.net/)). Then, in 2017, Naofumi formed SWORD'S (https://euphoria-swords.com/index.html) to commercialize the culmination of his work that'd start the third chapter, in the form of Yuukyuu no Euphoria Content Book and accompanied character songs and drama CD and the planned live events. Xuse was supposed to cover their part of the commercialized work, which Naofumi had worked for at least half a year, but Xuse's financial problem reared its head, and they couldn't cover expenses on their end. And due to financial trouble, Xuse opted to sell off copyrights and IP. Naofumi wanted to protect Eien Shinken series, so he acted fast to buy it. He successfully acquired the copyright in 2018. Xuse never recovered, and they filed for bankruptcy in 2021.

Hmm, eroge companies that started in the 2000s but are still alive (as far as I'm aware)? Just based on my vndb lists of games I keep tabs on and excluding ones you already mentioned, I see Nitroplus, Liar-soft, Navel, Overdrive, AliceSoft, Eushully, Frontwing, Baldrhead, Propeller, LaCryma, Escu:de, Yuzusoft, Pulltop, Unison Shift, Ninetail, Dual Tail, and Purple Software are either alive or have released a game within recent years. To my surprise, Pajamas Soft is alive even though Prism Ark was their only remarkable title, but I see their sister companies, which churn out low-quality moege and nukige, is seemingly why they haven't gone under yet.

To those interested, crowdfunding is underway. Takase plans to release Tsuisou no Enon, and then the prelude of Yuukyuu no Euphoria will come after. Enon is set during the Hero era, between the Four Princes era (Spirit Guide 1) and the Eternal War era (Eien no Aselia). It is an ASMR audio work with ADV visual novel option. You, as the protagonist, get summoned to Phantasmagoria and encounter Enon, a green spirit, and the story will be told and experienced through the St. Yoto language.

Beyond Takase's expectations, CF1 reached over 300% goal within 24 hours. So the future prospect of the Eien Shinken series is looking good. If the CF reaches 400%, a theme song will get made.

Yeah, Enon is a small project. The prelude is seemingly small too. I believe Takase's intention to start small is to test the waters and gauge the number of supporters since Euphoria will require a considerable amount of budget. The surplus funds beyond CF goals will go into enhancing each project, and I suspect extra funds will be used on the Euphoria.
